(Message 27626)
Posted 18 Sep 2004 by Nikolay A. Saharov Post: Another addition information about the problem posted above. When I do fresh BOINC install into new folder and then I attach only SAH project, BOINC CC connects with SAH scheduler successfully and gets new WUs for crunching. When I detach all other projects (CPDN, P@H, LHC), BOINC also connects successfully with SAH scheduler. But with all these projects BOINC has "No schedulers responded" message from SAH project server. I think this happens because BOINC cant wait reply from SAH server because of small timeout. Ping to SAH scheduler returns greater then 1200 msec. I have a slow dialup conn. BOINC dev team, can you increase timeout period for replies from project scheduler servers in the next versions of BOINC Core Client? Thanks for all possible help and sorry for my terrible english. |

My question was when I update i.e. BOINC Beta Test CC downloads separate preferences for home: --- - 2004-06-23 20:58:29 - General prefs: using separate prefs for home But when I update S@H after that CC downloads default general prefs: --- - 2004-06-23 21:00:17 - General prefs: using your defaults Ummmm. It seems, I have understood, that happened. When project sheduler is unavailable CC uses default prefs. SAH was unavailable, and now P@H is unavailable, and this happened again for Predictor project.
