1) Questions and Answers : Windows : BOINC is just sitting there for 4 days doing nothing. WHY?? (Message 11331) Posted 22 Jul 2004 by Trevor A Panther Post: Since I downloaded and installed BOINC beta Version 3.20 ( and i uninstalled the old Setiathome which has been running happily for ages until last week) I have only received 2 work units. For the rest of the time i see repeated attempts to download more work units and all i get is "No work available" and then "deferring communication with project for x hours and y minutes" Since this programme is still labelled as a "beta" programme is it just not working properly? So will someone connected with seti come on line and say what is happening? You are going to lose a lot of loyal supporters over this if something is not done about it.
