(Message 1538888)
Posted 10 Jul 2014 by Scott Armstrong Post: Don't know what "distro" means. I'm not computer savvy, so please use layman's terms whenever possible. I only use Ubuntu because my techie friend didn't have any of the Windows OS discs when I needed to reload one after accidentally downloading a virus. I tried to open the BOINC manager by going into the BOINC folder and clicking on the boincmgr icon. |

Posted 8 Jul 2014 by Scott Armstrong Post: Been trying to add other projects, but can't get my BOINC manager to appear. Might be some distantly-related Ubuntu issue I'm not techie enough to understand. I have heard that one can remote-access BOINC on another computer. Is that true? |

Posted 30 Jun 2010 by Scott Armstrong Post: I've been having problems with my computer freezing. I go to bed, then wake up to find it's frozen, can't be awakened with the mouse, and I have to reboot by holding the power button down. This doesn't happen every day, but it shouldn't be happening at all. I use Windows XP. Also, I've had a SETI work unit for the last two weeks, but the computer is not analyzing it. |
