Windows 7 and CUDA
(Message 865743)
Posted 15 Feb 2009 by QuicksilverHG Post: Hmmmm... Guess I should have saved some data. I too noticed Seti runs nicely with cuda and Windows 7. I was testing on a customer's Q6600 with a 9800 GTS and was extremely impressed! Can't wait to run on Windows 7 and an I7 920 processor! |

Posted 12 Jan 2006 by QuicksilverHG Post:
Yes, that is true. Your old SETI stats will always be seperate from the new BOINC stats. All the stats have been updated as of Jan. 5th, 2006. Everyone starts BOINC at zero credits.
Awwww... Shucks... |

Posted 12 Jan 2006 by QuicksilverHG Post: Did you tried to use this form by filling in the upper and bottom part in order to link your Classic stats to your Boinc account? Yup! Filled it all in. Had new acct key, classic password, have same email for many years now... Seemed to go through smooth. Any ideas? |

Transfer credits from old account to new.
(Message 229976)
Posted 12 Jan 2006 by QuicksilverHG Post: Errrrr... Did that a while ago... Linked old account to new following guidelines, it only shows BOINC credit, yet you can see I have 13,000+ units, 93,000+ hours and I have bubkiss for credit! ;) help... Now, is this true? "Anyway, look in your account here. See that bar at the top with HOME, PARTICIPATE etc. on it? That's a menu bar. Click Your Account. In it you'll see the Seti Classic credits updated to March the 15th 2005. At this moment UCB is cleaning up the databases and merging them. So over the coming weeks those numbers will be changing. Have patience please. You start from zero credits in Seti/Boinc. Read this FAQ in the Wiki on that. The credits in Classic aren't compatible with the credits in Boinc. So the old ones won't be added to the new ones, ever." |

Seti on Windows Vista Beta2
(Message 229939)
Posted 12 Jan 2006 by QuicksilverHG Post: I have 2 other systems with 2003 SVR myself, all updated of course! I just got Mac OSx86 to try out too! :) I just noticed, with the hyperthreading, it is running at 100% efficiancy for each virtual processor at the same speed this system used to run one seti process. Or is this due to the new BOINC install? I have yet to install the BOINC on all my P4s and maybe because its on the Athlons (non hyperthreading) I just didn't notice... Too many computers... ;) |

Posted 12 Jan 2006 by QuicksilverHG Post: Program loaded up fine, unlike so many others (antivirus, antispyware, etc.) and got to work right away. Minor issue, black screen when you Show Graphics. Intel 915GAV, ATI X600 with latest ATI Vista driver. Ahhh... the growing pains! |
