The Captcha shows up for me. Are you behind a corporate firewall? Is your firewall settings set on high?

No and no.
I'm pretty sure that in "the past", i saw the captcha.

edit :
ehm, now I see it. (?)

I wanted to modify my profile.

Problem :
If i can read the line :
"To protect project's webpages from spam, we ask you to type in two words shown in the image:"
I can't type the 2 words because i don't see the captcha.

Presently I see this line :
"This reCAPTCHA key isn't authorized for the given domain. More info"

Then :
"The reCAPTCHA wasn't entered correctly. Go back and try it again.
(reCAPTCHA said: incorrect-captcha-sol)"

So you can't create or modify your profile.

Friends,
SUPERLINK@TECHNION server crash

To all those who is wondering what's going on with SUPERLINK@TECHNION project: our server's HDD crashed completely, and it will take us about one week to recover, hopefully less than that.
We do have backups, so user information is likely to be preserved.

1.) Yes, it's true that discussion on the 'Wate Question', pro or con, will in all likelyhood draw you a posting suspension. I drew a 60 dayer, and I was defending the project's right to ban anyone, for any reason they saw fit to, for the simple reason that a forum hosted on a private server is not a democracy. However deleting the accounts (and the ban bypassing sub-accounts and team accounts) was reserved for the most egregious 'crusaders', contrary to 'popular' belief.

I would like to correct something too.
My account and my credits were deleted at Predictor.
Do you know why ? i was not a "crusader" but i joined B4L because i didn't like what was happening.
Later i read this news
05/14/07
Due to recent attacks on the Predictor@Home forums by a small group of malicious hackers we have enabled some restrictions in the forums. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause our volunteers. As so often is the case a few bad apples can spoil the lot and their behavior has forced us to enforce policies we would prefer not to. The accounts used by the attackers have been deleted. Despite these issues, which we will weather, we continue to value your efforts and the resources you volunteer toward the scientific objectives of the Predictor@Home project.

My account has been deleted.

Careful over in Predictor land, They tend to banish those with opinions contrary to dogma.

That much is certain, although certain Quixotic endeavors over there were based on some faulty premises, IMO.

They do however have a tendency to 'shoot the messenger' when you tell then things they don't want to hear, even when the news is on solid factual grounds. ;-)

Alinator

Yeah, That's not a healthy place to be really.

They banish and they delete too.
The 2nd team 'Banned for Life" has been deleted yesterday and all its members too.

A new shame but probably not the last at Predictor' board.

Actually, free speech rights are rather simple: It prevents the government from interfering and gagging you...

This does not mean you get to say what you want, when you want no does it garauntee a right to social interaction.

Yep. These are private websites. You have no right to freedom of speech here or Predictor. Their toys, their rules.

Perhaps but our cpus and our electricity bill.

The server is offline since 1 day now and the website is down too. The administrators will try to fix the hardware problem tomorrow but the server will be probably offline until Monday.

Thanks for your patience.

LOL Nightbird - I hadn't noticed that!

Yes, you're using the CC 5.4.9 and since the CC 5.2.6, the Core client counts Fpops with Seti Enhanced.

Stupid rules and low organization...

Did anybody hear about virus infected apps?

Yeah, often the Seti forum is hot.
But these last days, The Top... :(

Luckily, the SETI@home-AstroPulse Beta site is a haven of peace.

Another update...

The RAID array has been rebuilt and fsck is now being run. I have been told that the server will be back on t'Internet by midnight.

At the moment, MundayWeb.com is pointing to a temporary location. As a result, once the server is back-up, it will take a few hours for the DNS changes to make their way around the world.

Apologies once again,

Neil.

Don't worry Neil, we know that you're doing for the best. Your users will be patient and apologies are not needed. :)

bien a toi Seb

@ eberndl
thanks for your help :)
