With a little push of retry, I am getting some to upload.

Slowly!!

Same here. Kudos to BOINCTasks' "retry all".

Server status page hasn't updated yet and Cricket doesn't show any traffic yet.

Now it's a six o'clock in the Berkeley, so I think we have to relax at two or three hour, at least...
Think it's after 7 now. US has daylight savings time;

Any updates yet? My list is full of "Project Backoff" entries.

I expect the staff will arrive at the lab in the next hour or so and get Bruno restarted.

After few days of tranquility:

26/03/2014 22:08:59 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

It´s only me or anyone else start to have problem with the UL?

Same problem here. Cricket graph looks odd.

Edit: Server Status page is no longer updating. Guess Bruno is taking another nap.

I connected and reported my completions, but got no tasks. Then two timeouts, then a connect that got some tasks. Current request is hanging and headed for a timeout.

Welcome to the project and the forums!

Looks like the laptop received some gpu work just about the time you posted and some cpu work 5 minutes later. Do you still have questions?

Now the resend will be at the back of that 700K queue of over-split work.

Guess it only became invalid today when the wingman reported. Then it wasn't an instant invalid like the other truncated stderr's I've seen.

Thanks, Richard. Sorry for the false alarm.

I was surprised today to find an invalid on my task page that was judged invalid Feb 28 but just showed up this morning. It is an instant invalid due to a truncated stderr.

The workunit is in limbo - the _2 replacement task has not been sent.

Have we lost data in the database? Or perhaps found some data?

What happen to the Tuesday shutdown?

Rain delay.
Joe had an explanation for the 'result creation rate' a few days ago. The splitters make WUs, and put them in the database: but transitioners are needed to turn WUs into results (tasks). Making a WU is a slow, steady process that involves mathematics and data shuffling from disk to disk: making a result from a WU is just a bit of database record-keeping, and takes barely any time. Did you see the database queries/second go over 4,500?

Thanks for the explanation - I must have missed that one. Yes on the database queries / second. Guess they have more horsepower/capacity than I thought. V7 creation rate has dropped back to near-idle now, and pending validation is starting to drop.

And did you see "result creation rate 298.6622/sec"

Yes, and it's even higher how which botched up my theory of how it is calculated. How about the S@H V7 pending validation? Hope they fix that.

Thanks to everyone for all the different inputs. Got it working, all 3 GPUs crunching away happily. Moving it to the right folder did the trick. May look at modifying it more as suggested but for now, it works..So as they say (if it works, don't mess with it!@! LOL)

The app_config.xml file with the missing line will work for Astropulse but the S@H V7 segment will be ignored due to the missing line. You'll see that when you get some v7 gpu tasks.

Still don't see any cpu tasks. Do you have "USE CPU" turned on in your website project preferences? Is BOINC asking for cpu tasks?

Also don't see an application for Astropulse on Nvidia. Did you intend to install one?
I wonder if the wu's running now will be validated in time or errored out.
The first 7 did not have errors and are pending validation. When you return completed tasks only minutes after you received them, it is unlikely that the matching task from another computer will be returned that quickly, so it will take a while to see validations.

Here is the Event Log

3/14/2014 8:56:08 AM | | cc_config.xml not found - using defaults

Do you have the cc_config.xml file in the top level BOINC data directory? It goes there, not in the project's directory where you have the other two files.

Maybe we need a thread to discuss the revival of the GPUUG fundraising. I became aware of it a few weeks ago when I noticed Mr. Kevvy's signature. I checked out the website and saw Mr. Kevvy's generous matching offer and saw that the donation I made some time ago to the servers drive has been redirected to the new receiver, based on the current needs of the project. I currently have a recurring monthly donation of general purpose funds to SETI through the University's site, but will toss in some more to this drive in a few weeks.

Fundraising does not seem to have gone well the past couple of years, and we need to increase interest and participation.

Since I upgraded my HTPC to as i5-4670K I have had it only doing MB on it's CPU & GPU. I'm waiting for it to level out so I can see the difference between it and my gaming machine which is running the same setup but is allowed AP work. So far I saw my gaming machine around 9k & my HTPC is just around 3K.

Now that the AP server has been replaced I should get a good grasp in the next few weeks how much extra the AP gives.

The next few weeks may not be representive of "normal" operations, because we have a small backlog of files for AP splitting. Thus, the next few weeks should see more AP tasks available than a typical 2 week period. You can probably adjust for that when you assess results.

I've picked a few freshly split AP tasks, but that creation rate just doesn't seem to want to get up and go.
