As for that six-wheeled creation, it would be a vehicle in most US states. Here, even human-driven bikes are legally "vehicles" and must follow the same rules as cars and trucks. Unfortunately, most drivers don't know that. In my younger days, I would cycle to work, and I would take a lane. I was a strong enough rider to keep up with city traffic. We are talking around 35 mph, not freeways. Some states do require "ride to the right," but not California. Once a vehicle is motorized and exceeds a certain power level, then it must be registered and insursed plus meet crash and emission standards. That would not be legal in California.

Admiral, if you really want a recumbent bike, there was a company making them in Santa Barbara when I lived down there. I have two friends who rode coast to coast on recumbents. I can send them a note and see if they have any info.

Flying to Las Vegas this afternoon. Looks like the weather in Vegas is the same as here in the California Delta. 20C high and 11C low. Clear and sunny in both locations.

You would enjoy a friend's car. Here is a tribute to him and his million-mile 1964 Porsche 356c. I bought my first boat from him back in '72. He had just gotten this car.
