How does this one differ from the one by mundayweb?

There's not very much info on the facebook app page.

Dude, don't you get it?

It's Facebook!!!!

You must be over 25 to not understand that?

Dude!! With a response like that you must be under 25! ;)

I know what facebook is.....been there done that, built apps to see peoples info, etc. before changes started being made a few months ago.

I admit I did not read the initial posting all that clearly and skipped over the 'wall posting' and figured this was just another app that posted your project stats like the mundayweb one does.

Oh these youngsters arround ;-)
Tunning the graphics - no way - monochrome:
Frist machine: IBM PC with Intel 8086 at 4.77 MHz
with heavy tunning => NEC VC20 at 8 MHz and Intel math coprocessor 8087
This was a "real machine" burning its way through PC-DOS and Turbo-Pascal ;-)

lol!! I remember doing that to my old Tandy 1000A, I even had to install an external switch to set the clock back to 4.77Mhz so games would not look like a blur on the screen. ;)

I was wondering when someone was going to bring this up, I had been pondering such as system all summer, now I'm working on specing and building such a system. Specs I have so far are:

The basic systems specs I have thus far are:

7 x BFG GTX 295 H2OC (b)
SuperMicro X8DTH-i
Intel Core i7 975 or Xeon W5590
8 GB RAM (4Gig per CPU)
Dual PSU (1500w) either Silverstone or Koolance (liquid cooled) or combination thereof (240V preferably)
Coolermaster HAF932
Coolermaster Aquagate Max
3 cooling radiators - possibly external as well.

I have about another month or so of work to do, electrician will be here in two weeks to install the 240v outlets. Then it's time to build, test, and get it up and running.

Hoping to keep costs below 8-9k. We'll see. ;)

I dont kbow if I've posted in the correct topic but here goes. Over the past few months or so I have noticed that SETI computers are becoming increasingly taxed and often crash.

Could anyone tell me what the problem at the moment is. Ie I cannot upload any of my completed WUs to SETI and they are not issueing any new ones. This has been intermittent for the last few weeks or so and is it likely to be fixed soon?

Nevica

This thread should help explain what some of the issues are.
