Stevie Ray Vaughan was born on 1954.
Vaughan was one of America's most influential electric blues guitarists. His unique sound was created with the use of heavy strings, and his style drew frequent comparisons to that of Jimi Hendrix. Vaughan's 1989 album In Step won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and in 2003, Rolling Stone magazine named him the seventh greatest guitarist of all time. His career was tragically cut short when he died in a helicopter crash in 1990.

Old Summer Palace
Known in China as the Gardens of Perfect Clarity, the Old Summer Palace was a complex of palaces and gardens built in the 18th and early 19th centuries near the walls of Beijing. Hundreds of invaluable Chinese art masterpieces and antiquities were stored in its halls, making the Imperial Gardens one of the largest museums in the world. In 1860, during the Second Opium War, British and French troops looted and destroyed the gardens.

Angela Pusateri, 79, may be unconventional, but, according to Jenna, 13, "She really is a cool grandmother." The Hallandale Beach, Fla., woman is a rap-music singer with a new CD ("Who's Your Granny?") and occasional playdates, where she shows up in hockey jersey, jewels, sunglasses and baseball cap. Sample rap: "I can bring the noise better than P-Diddy / I am older and wiser, I ain't a disguiser / I am condo commando in a high-riser, Who's your granny?" Also, "Move over, Trick-Daddy, 'cause this is my town / I gotta shuffleboard posse and we're known to get down." Actually, conceded Jenna to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in September, "Sometimes it's embarrassing." [South Florida Sun-Sentinel, 9-8-08]

2. No man may purchase alcohol without written consent from his wife.
