Posted 30 Dec 2014 by wirezfree Post: Hi, A very minor milestone for me, does not compare to the big numbers posted here. I have made it to 100K, only another 900K to my 1st million. Dave mmm I guess my sig count is lagging my account page. |

Upgrade CPU - BOINC & SETI@HOME
(Message 1617296)
Posted 22 Dec 2014 by wirezfree Post: Unless you plan to change out from an Intel to an AMD processor, or from an AMD to an Intel processor, or from a 32bit to a 64bit processor, it shouldn't matter much. Hi Ageless, Many Thanks... It's a change from one Intel to another Intel, just changing from a 84Watt to 45Watt device. I only have small mini ITX PC's, and 1 is getting very warm. Dave |

Posted 22 Dec 2014 by wirezfree Post: Hi, I plan to upgrade one of my PC's CPU. I have Googled & Searched the Forum. Are there any steps I need to take with regards to BOINC Manager, or any WU's that are already in progress.? Will I need to use the "Benchmark" option to do any re-calibration.? Thanks - Dave |

Posted 17 Dec 2014 by wirezfree Post: Hi, I have SETI@Home running on 3 PC's all O.K Out of curiosity I put it on my Google Nexus(2013) Tablet, and I'm getting errors. Only 2 validated from 64. Any ideas.? I have reduced CPU's to 2, and memory to use only 50%, no change I guess I need to remove it. Thanks... Dave |

BOINC Manager - Statistics Tab - Date Resolution.?
(Message 1612391)
Posted 11 Dec 2014 by wirezfree Post: Hi, I have just returned after being away a long time. I installed BOINC Manager & SETI@HOME on Friday 5th Dec on a Laptop & PC They are running Linux Lite 2.0(Ubuntu 14.04 derivative) They picked up data over night of the 6th Dec, and they are working fine. When I look Statistics Tab they show graphs that have a 1 day increment. Now on 9th Dec I installed on another PC, installed and running O.K But... The Statistics Tab is showing a graph that starts on 11th Nov and it is in increments of 3 days. So I have a flat line 11th Nov to 9th Dec Then a very sharp rise. I have not found any settings for Graph settings... Any ideas/input welcome. Dave |
