Thanks for the win McDuck.

Now for the rules

1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g., post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this, a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)
8. No picture-only posts - not all pictures we link to show on everyone's computers & phones.
8a. Keep the number of pictures per post under 3 or less and/or make them tiny and links to full size.

Don't forget to have fun.

Thanks Rob, but washing on another hot won't be good.

Lucky it wasn't next weekend as you'd all be waiting longer. ;-)

Cheers.

Look on the bright side, if its hot and dry washing can be hung out an is dry before you get back to the house; unlike here where its cold and damp and washing hung out on the line is wetter than when hung out by the time you get back to the house.

Indeed... washing, resp. drying clothes takes a long time in this weather... two days outside, then further hours in a heated room...

+1 °C (34F), 96% humidity. It's foggy, visibility just about 200m (650 ft).

More like 2 hours here ATM.

Today got underway at 14C here with 29C expected.

Well I got my veggies watered and the washing machine is doing its job so it's time now for a coffee.

Cheers.

Line drying a couple weeks ago and you would have to wait for the clothes to stop imitating wood. Stiff as a board.

We got to a muggy 25C here yesterday before a very lite rain moved in for the evening while today got off to a damp 17C (felt like 18C) as showers continue to float about with 26C being expected along with more showers and a possible thunderstorm later in the day. At least I don't have to water my veggies today.

Cheers.

We don't have to water the lawn here either. The soil is still frozen. The thin layer of snow is melting and meltwater puddles are everywhere. The water can't seep away. It's likely the grass will rot and won't look good in spring. Oh well... Warm temperatures and sunshine will fix it eventually, in a distant future. Because right now it's still the grim, gray winter.

Back in Reno NV for a week. Nice to see snow in the mountains. I will be out in the field most of the day Tuesday, and it looks like rain.

That sounds somewhat disparagingly. They don't guess. They 'forecast' based on their hyper-complex numerical prediction models.

Well since our weather service got rid of local forecasters in 2018 and went A.I. our forecasts have been more miss than hit these days.

We got to a muggy 26C (felt like 27C) yesterday and after some overnight showers along with some fog it was 16C (felt like 17C) this morning with a stinkin' 29C expected today.

The only wicking bed that I had to tend to this morning was the 1 that I'm growing Black Russian tomatoes in, for 3 plants they're certainly sucking the water up as they run riot all over the place covering my carrots over (they just want to bush out instead of growing straight up like normal tomatoes).

Anyhow I think that I've removed as much heat as possible from my unit so it's time to close the place up and draw the certain.

Cheers.

We are expecting a few 'warm days', that is, no longer a sequence of "ice days" with daily max temps still below freezing.

Now, the remaining dirty piles of compacted snow, ice, mixed with lots of sand & grit (abrasives) are about to melt away, at least during daytime... more sandy, muddy dirt everywhere... a challenge to keep that out of your house... 'cause for kids this peculiarity of our winters seems not to exist.

In Reno NV, it's still raining and 5 °C where I am, but it's snowing in the hills around here.
