Thanks Carlos and Gary. Now for the rules: ------------- 1. The winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) 8. No picture-only posts - not all pictures we link to show on everyone's computers & phones. 8a. Keep the number of pictures per post under 3 or less and/or make them tiny and links to full size. Don't forget to enjoy yourselves. |

Congratulations, Wiggo! We have a rather grey day; overcast, a light breeze, just 15°C (59F) now. Hopefully we will reach 22°C (72F) in the afternoon. |

Thanks Mike, McDuck and Rob. After a very frosty -3C (felt like -6C) start we managed to hit our target of 13C, though it felt more like 8C in the wind. Now I hope that I can get my body clock back to where it should be after the last 4 days and sleeping half of the day away today. Cheers. |

Thanks again Carlos and beer must always be kept cold. Well we got off to a frosty 0C (felt -2C) start with a windy 15C expected. Anyhow I'll likely need a few beers after I pay the vampires in town another visit, but for now I'll have another coffee. Cheers. |

Well, it's about 90f or 32c and the humidity is near 90% from my Airbnb to the beach of the dead. (Yes, the name is Playa de los Muertos/Beach of the dead). About 2 miles each way. Had lunch, some ice cream, and about a liter of water. Back in my room, and I am completely soaked. It's not raining. It's just hot and muggy. |

We made it to a windy, but sunny, 16C (felt like 10C) here yesterday and it got down to 4C (felt like 1C) late last night before rising again to 7C (felt like 3C) by sunrise this morning. Sadly that wind is picking up again and is expected to turn into a westerly blow with a sunny 11C expected and it's now 9C (feels like 3C). Anyhow now that I've caught up a bit here this morning (that should've been done days ago except for an unseen interruption that occurred) I 'll get a 2nd coffee in for the morning before I head outside to let Dog off and check on my veggies (I have carrots and cabbages getting close to being ready for harvest), I just hope that I don't get blown away out there. Cheers. |

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico As of 7:07 am CST 26° and mostly cloudy. Humidity remains in the high 80%. It rained heavely last night. Fortuantly for me it started just as I closed my front door. It was weird. The moment I latched the door I heard it just drop. Went to the window and it was really comming down. Looks dry this morning which I hope remains so. I'm planning to visit the Mariana and local Rotary Club. Hope to go out sailing a little if the weather allows. |

In my imagination, Mexico is a sunburned, dry, rocky prairie where people with oversized hats drive their cattle. Rain doesn't exist in this image. |

In my imagination, Mexico is a sunburned, dry, rocky prairie where people with oversized hats drive their cattle. Rain doesn't exist in this image. That could describe several places especially south of where I live. The weather is hot once again. Fair 90°F (32°C). Heat Index 99°F (37°C).

Mexico is like that along the northern border with the US. But I am along the coast, which is a tropical jungle zone. Here is a photo I took this morning in the hills behind the city. Right now is the rainy season here. |

We got to 11C (felt like 3C) yesterday while this morning got off to a 1C (felt like -2C) start with a windy 12C being expected while currently it's 7C (feels like 2C). Well I'm almost caught up with my domestic duties now so all that's left to do is a load of washing and to mop the bathroom floor which I'll do tomorrow morning as I won't have to wrestle the washing out on the line. Anyhow it's time for my last coffee of the morning. Cheers. |

We had a formidable short-lived thunderstorm yesterday in the afternoon. These types of small heat thunderstorms form within hours; still impossible for weather services to forecast them. Their extent is limited, just a few kilometers. The storm hit us hard; rain and (small) hail poured down... well, for 5 to 10 minutes.... 12mm (0.5in) of rain... not bad... in this year's drought. Maybe the lawns will get a little green again this summer; this yellow-brownish steppe view here is discouraging. |

The weekend got off to a very frosty -3C (felt like -6C) start here reaching 13C (felt like 10C), but it's now the wee hours of Sunday morning and it's -3C (feels like -6C) on the way down to an expected -6C. I finally caught myself up on my chores around here after last weekend's episode so today I can take a break, after I get a few winks in 1st. Cheers. |

It was 34c but cooling to 23c. Mostly sunny, and the humidity seems to stay above 80%. We are getting great sunsets. I just saw the "Voladores de Papantla" Pole flyers. I had heard about them before |
