The criminal cases against two high-profile critics of Donald Trump — former FBI director James Comey and New York attorney-general Letitia James — have been thrown out of court. A judge found the former White House staffer who led the prosecutions, Lindsey Halligan, was "unlawfully appointed" to her role by Mr Trump's attorney-general, Pam Bondi. "I agree with Mr Comey that the Attorney General's attempt to install Ms Halligan as Interim US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia was invalid," the judge wrote in Mr Comey's case. "And because Ms. Halligan had no lawful authority to present the indictment, I will grant Mr Comey's motion and dismiss the indictment without prejudice." The case against Ms James, who had previously sued Mr Trump for defrauding New York banks and businesses, was dismissed for the same reasons. I deleted it; It's a waste of time to even consider this madness. The 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was at least intended to benefit both nation's imperial ambitions while avoiding overlapping interests. It was written by experienced (ruthless) diplomats from both sides who fully acted in their own country (regime's) interests. It's simply unbelievable how brazenly and naively the US is acting towards a full-fledged criminal Mafia regime that exhibits one hundred years of experience with disinformation, constant lies, and the subversion of entire peoples. How many books have been written in the past century describing the effects of a Chekist regime (trust no one, lie constantly, deceive all others, collect kompromat on everyone)? ...of Soviet-style authoritarian rule, in constant fear of another revolution that may topples them; the brainwashing of whole societies; just take George Orwell's work, for example. Mafia ethics... In "The Godfather," at least, you could expect the Don to do everything in his power to protect his 'clan'... his extended family, from any harm. ...equivalently the Trump admin protecting Americans? Not even that. The actors in today's US foreign policy don't secure U.S. interests. They're just interested to resume their own dirty, private deals with Russian 'Biznesmeny' [in cyrillic] as quickly as possible... ignoring the fact that in today's Russia that means dealing with KGB/FSB, that is Putin's Mafia. They would do everything to get this sanctions regime against Russia lifted ASAP; to rehabilitate Putin, and somehow hide these awful looking daily atrocities in Ukraine from public view. They don't care about a thousand dead Russians or Ukrainians each day, or hundreds of thousands of oppressed, deprived Ukrainians in occupied territories; just a nuisance... It's the attention of a critical public that must disappear, not Putin. Be forgotten... just like with the Epstein files. America's interests apparently play no role in all of this. It's just the greed (or full dependency on Russian money) of a bunch of selfish real estate tycoons play-acting as diplomats who lack any knowledge on diplomacy, or just a glimpse of 20th century European history besides WW2 and Nazis.
