Eventually, it's advised for all soccer teams to carry their official ID cards visibly at all times, at all places, if they don't want to search missing players in all kinds of ICE facilities.

Unfortunately even US Citizens carrying US Passports end up in ICE facilities. That happens when morons carry badges.

The Donald dooms all Science and high Tech:

50 years in deep space, and Voyager still can't escape budget gravity

The ‘Arc de Trump’: President Shows Off Plans For His Latest Grandiose D.C. Construction Project

“This would be small, medium, and large… I happen to think the large by far looks the best,

According to renderings and models, the new arch, which looks similar to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, would sit across the Potomac River to the Lincoln Memorial. The plans show the arch situated in the center of the Memorial Circle roundabout, facing the direction of the White House.
Perhaps Trump should seize the opportunity to build an additional massive dome, just like the Dôme des Invalides; which hosts the tomb of the greatest Emperor of all time.

Grand pretensions of Old Rome and Julius Caesar?

How soon before Trump embraces Caligula and Nero also??

Stay safe folks?

... And for further Trump-ed headlines, and for the headlines for his various cronies:

The news in the USA really does look to be getting more and more divisive and to be something that generates ever more anger.

Is Trump very deliberately steering towards creating a putsch?

... Or at least a civil war?

All the ingredients for such a putsch are already in place...

Save the USA!!

Such a disturbing word. Martin even did not refrain from linking it to the early Nazis.

I prefer the French term "Coup d'État"... sounds way better... civilized... diplomatic...

It was also the French King Louis XIV ("The Sun King") who declared: "L'État, c'est moi" (The state, that's me!).

A coup d'État, wherefore? Louis didn't need one. Trump neither. He is already in power, that is, MAGA is.

It's just the remaining 'checks and balances' that eventually bother them... or this ill-conceived, obstructive 22nd amendment.

You have to deal with these troublesome tripwires. I wouldn't call it 'circumventing' them... so that people don't feel uncomfortable... Why all this fuss about a looming Coup d'État? Americans aren't fond of such European (ah... and Latino) habits. Executive Orders, in contrast, is what people appreciate.

Where's my sharpie?

Where's my sharpie?

Note the key details:

    The dismantlement of Government and the troublesome honourable officials;

    The pushing out of the current Military high command;

    Fomenting social unrest/excuses due to increasing food prices;

    Removal of social welfare and healthcare;

    And denying paying any salary to the remaining government workers...

    And a vindictive 'judicial' attack against random victims;

    And random arbitrary 'disappearances' of random people from the streets.

All this is already happening each day in the USA.

How long?

Save the USA!
Martin

Might I remind all of you that Donald Trump is currently the President of the United States, and as such, he deserves the respect that that office commands.
Until such time as his actions prove the he is unworthy of that office, I would request that all posters here on this forum grant him said respect.
Most of you would request the same respect for your own country's leaders.

I realize that this is the political forum, and as such, your tongues are loosed.

But just know that as a citizen of the United States, your loose talk is very much not appreciated by myself.

When buffoons inhabit the halls of power they do incredible damage to the institutions of power. I believe that is what you are seeing.

From what I see, is that most of the negative views here, reflect the views of the peoples outside the U.S., and those views have been documented by the Pew Research Center a well respected American institute.

I think those who despise Trump should also question what led him to two non-consequtive election victories.

It‘s the politics of the Democratic Party and of the Republican Neocons before Trump that paved the way for the people to elect Trump.

I still can‘t see that, e.g. Kamela Harris already unterstood that.

WRONG.

Respect is earned not handed out like a free meal ticket.

On both sides of the pond respect for the office has diminished due to party politics, with politicans serving their own self interests instead of putting their countries 1st.

They do that, they not ony get my respect but my support as well.

Until then...
