What type of pen does Trump use to sign all these executive orders? It looks like a kind of felt-tip pen children use for coloring books. I find this inappropriate. These orders are written with a formally correct letterhead, a neat official layout, etc. They are put in classy-looking leather folders. Then someone comes along with a felt-tip pen "signing" them. The huge, bold signature is in the focus, the signed document recedes optically; it's unimportant; a projection surface. |

These orders are written with a formally correct letterhead, a neat official layout, etc.. ... by "AI". Signing them with an "x" in crayon would be more appropriate.

It's not even a Sharpie - the pen of choice for many tradespeople....I don't know about common practice in the U.S... Here we sign documents with ballpoint pens only. Rollerball pens are unsuitable because of all these modern non-permanent ones (elementary students love them). But in any kind of official ceremony, if there are important documents to conclude a contract, agreement... whatever, classic fountain pens are used (with permanent ink). For a classy ceremony: a clerk, waiting in the background, applies an ink dryer/absorber removing residual ink as soon as documents are signed. Strange habits at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. |

Not so strange when you consider that it is the Narcissist Trump: He has to be the centre of focus; His writing has to be bigger, bolder, than anything else. The rest is purely childishness and crass uncaring ignorance. Stay safe folks! Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

In the right/wrong hands such a signature could prove to be invaluable. Just saying ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Will he give it a go or not? Constitutional academics and MAGA enthusiasts are grappling with the idea of a third Trump term … and it’s not entirely hypothetical. Trump’s back. He won the election. He won the popular vote. His presidential mandate is clear. And he’s revelling in his return to power. |

Well, he has been convicted 34 times, he utterly doesn't believe in the 14th amendment, so of course he will, just like he promised, your would never have to vote again. |

Well, he has been convicted 34 times, he utterly doesn't believe in the 14th amendment, so of course he will, just like he promised, your would never have to vote again. Why 14th amendment? I thought it is the 22th amendment which will deny him a 3rd term? Richard Haselgrove posted this almost a year ago: https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=85611&postid=2132763#2132763 |

...at least it is an identifiable signature and he paid attention to correctly reproduce it (with his personalized "Sharpie") when signing documents. His writing has to be bigger, bolder, than anything else. That's how our Chancellor signs official documents... with indifference: [off-topic] |

The problem is, he just doesn't think the Constitution (the whole thing) applies to him.Well, he has been convicted 34 times, he utterly doesn't believe in the 14th amendment, so of course he will, just like he promised, your would never have to vote again. Why 14th amendment? I thought it is the 22th amendment which will deny him a 3rd term? The recent row about the 14th amendment is about the birthright of citizenship for anyone born in the United States. Trump tried to abolish that by execution order, but he's being taken to court by 18 states (at the last count). If he gets his way (either by a Supreme Court judgement, or by a new constitutional amendment), he'll feel empowered to do the same for the 22nd. |

Here's quite a turn around towards reality as compared to the random feel-good campaign words he previously spewed out: Trump Just Turned on Russia -- MAGA Will Flip Now What next? Stay safe folks?
