Winning on a Sunday morning where it's 19C (feels like 20C) with 28C expected again, but we're about to get hit by a blob of rain and storms.

Anyhow I better get a coffee before I have to start closing some windows.

[edit] And down it comes.

Cheers.

Well, it feels cold. The current weather is 24f, clear and sunny. We expect it to hit 50f. No rain or snow in the extended forecast.

Won't tell you in SoCal it is 60f now on the way to 80f. The tournament's sacrifice to the devil must be working this year.

Sounds like it's a good year to plan on visiting the Rose Parade.
Could be, topped out at 85f. Not bad for Pearl Harbor day.

Good luck Vic.

Well I finally finished all those wicking tubs and they have all been deployed, but I'll let all 7 (there was 1 upgraded version) settle down for a week as they may need a bit more topping up before I send the seeds in.

We also reached a steamy 27C here before these clouds started to quickly build up and the wind arrived.

Anyhow it's time to enjoy a relaxing LLB while keeping a watch on these developing storms.

Cheers.

... Yes... Well... I too like my food to be spicy hot upon occasion... But not tooo spicy hot... I do like to be able to taste the food also!!

And so the worst of the storm has blown over. No idea if this is merely a tease of a temporary lull?... Overall, nothing much other than a bit of greenery getting bashed about. There were ofcourse the expected spectacle of bits of flat roofing flying around...

However... The weather is a too good an excuse for a delayed delivery of some essential parts that are really needed Monday. Here's hoping we get them at least on Tuesday...

I've found that some nurses are better than others at injections. Some seem to ease the needle in with no pain others curve it in causing extreme pain. Hope it helps.

For anyone who wishes to experience the same chilli blast, but as a sauce not pickle:

I'll take a pass on the hot sauce, I value my insides. Now that's what I call "it probably burns more coming out than going in!"

I can't blame you for avoiding that sauce. I tried it once, which was twice too often.
One alternative use I suggested was a means of cooking without flame or electricity - just (carefully) coat the outside of the saucepan with it (after putting the stuff you want to eat in it) and wait a few minutes. Hmmmm could this be an alternative fuel?

We made it to a steamy 28C (felt like 29C) today and it's a still steamy 22C (feels like 23C).

Anyhow I better go and prepare for tomorrow and losing the 3 last stitches.

Cheers.

Grey and breezy but no further rain.

Then again, there is the remains of lots of rain still looking for somewhere to drain away...

And all is beautifully quiet.

I made for a bit of a late escape yesterday and so I've taken a midway break on my way to Civilisation. Very good for a rest and recovery and improving the soul.

Breakfast may be delayed into the early afternoon!

Winning on a Monday morning in the highlands where a glow has begun in the east while it's a muggy18C with 27C our target for the day.

Mmmm... Raw jalapenos are ok. A good tasty splurge of fresh wasabi is good for clearing your nose... However I'm very happy to keep off the silly spicy hot stuff!! I prefer to enjoy my good food!

Meanwhile, I've arrived back in Civilisation. Very good to be back!

I just got back from a quick trip into town to get those 3 stitches and the medical centre can wait until sometime next year before they see me again.

Anyhow it's time for that 3rd coffee before I go and do the dishes followed by vacuuming downstairs and upstairs to get rid of the bits of PVC swarf that's all over the place after making those wicking tubs, then I may do a little bit outside as it's an overcast 22C ATM

Cheers.

It was a much better day here today though it did reach a steamy 25C (felt like 26C) and we're now down to 19C (feels like 18C) as a few showers begin to come in.

Well I didn't get my vacuuming done as seeing that it was such a cool overcast morning I decided to do the work outside 1st instead and by the I had finished out there my youngest daughter and her b/f arrived out of the blue so it was up the pub for a few drinks and a feed yacking away for a couple of hours.

Anyhow vacuuming can be done tomorrow and I'm ready to watch the inside of my eyelids.

Cheers.

The temps are dropping here again. Currently, it's 19f, the low was 15f and the high today will only be 40f. Might have to turn up the heat.

Winning on a Tuesday morning as the rain tumbles down and it's 18C with 27C expected.

Time to boil some rainwater.

Cheers.

Very good to be back in Civilisation...

But...

Time is flying far too fast! And that's without any storm winds... I'll just be getting used to enjoying myself again, and then it's back to the unhealthy desolation...

Meanwhile...

The delayed delivery turned up as originally promised. No delays. Ok... All good. All a game of expectations?

Overnight tests of some new working went well. Later tonight should run even smoother. Minor niggles require a bit of fixing here before I jump over to my alternate working in the Food Desert.

... Which leads into a bit of a rush...

I've already suffered too much rush/haste coming to grief with this stuff...

After a wet night and morning and still under threatening skies we're still at a very muggy 18C here and plans for today have changed as more mess may wind up on the floors.

At least after 17mm I won't have to worry about watering veggies.

Anyhow I'll get 1 more coffee in before I head downstairs and begin more work down there.

Cheers.

After a couple of hours, putting a lot of tools and leftover materials from my recent projects away, a bit of sweeping as well as binning the leftover rubbish I'm getting in an extra coffee while cooling down as the temp here gets to a steamy 21C (feels like 22C) as fine misty drizzle continues to fall.

Cheers.
