From MIT Technology Review: The inside story of how ChatGPT was built from the people who made it To get the inside story behind the chatbot—how it was made, how OpenAI has been updating it since release, and how its makers feel about its success—I talked to four people who helped build what has become one of the most popular internet apps ever. In addition to Agarwal and Fedus, I spoke to John Schulman, a cofounder of OpenAI, and Jan Leike, the leader of OpenAI’s alignment team, which works on the problem of making AI do what its users want it to do (and nothing more). |

Do you mean Intelligence created for its own meaning? |

Is that a self referencing tautology?... ... In what way "intelligent"?... Or is the presently hyper Marketing game of "AI" just hyping up some elaborate game of mimicry masquerading as being somehow 'intelligent'? Keep searchin'! I have not dabbled in any of these 'AI' Chat thingies and really don't have any reason to. Now, one of my favorite web search tools has started to add what they call "AI assisted" search results into the top 10 results, which can be turned off via a web setting. I tried some searches with the settings on and off using different web browsers on different PC's to try and prevent biased response and could not see any difference. |
