I'm enjoying another coffee break as I try and catch up on some overdue domestic duties before I go out and add some more compost to my potato tyre stacks.

Cheers,

Beer break!
I'll drink to that.

Actually I just poured myself 1 as I take a break in the battle to catch up on these domestic duties.

Cheers.

Just waiting for some rain to arrive here before the sun sets.

Though I didn't did as far today as I wanted to, but there's tomorrow I guess.

[edit] That rain has finally arrived.

Cheers.

I am thinking about this myself. I have a 32 inch standard hd tv I use for watching Blu-ray, DVD, YouTube and working on the desktop. after I got a Blu-ray drive… My video experience was less than optimal. The shaded areas show badly. I need more pixels to smooth it out. I think. May have to get a better graphics card that handles 4K.

I already have a new 55" TV, of course putting both pieces of the swivel stand together by myself is the next step.

Those are anti tip over straps, the kit came with a really short one, TV and stand have a weight of 39.44lbs total.

TV screen weight 30.14lbs w/o legs, swivel stand 9.30lbs, the stand can support up to 88lbs, the range of TV's is 27"-55".
I also have a 28" wide & about 5"-6" tall Bestisan 60w sound bar to set up which is still in the box that I opened.

Sounds nice. The last tv I had on a swivel was a 27 inch tube tv. I used a 14 inch Lazy Susan metal swivel ring. I laid it on my dresser and placed the tv down on top of it. It had a feather light touch for moving. Just the tip of your pinky finger was enough to move it.

And I have been having problems standing, and lifting with my right arm lately, heck without Bayer Back & Body aspirin I wouldn't be able to lay down as the arm hurts even without lifting anything, just straightening the arm is painful, it has been getting better, but it's taking lots of time. This is my 2nd swivel stand, about 4 more parts and it will be done.

As to Blu ray, I have an Xbox for that, I plan on moving mine to the bedroom along with the Vizio V555-J01 tv.

The TV is for the Bedroom.
My wife loves watching TV in bed.
It is a 43" 4K QLED from Samsung.
It will not arrive today because it seems someone destroyed it during transport.

Meanwhile asap I need to go to the optometrist to get my primary glasses repaired, the screw came out on the right lens again, right now I'm using my old taped up glasses.

All the parts are safely in a bag for the repairs.

And I'm phoning this in.

Enjoying another day on a countdown to another year...

All by the quirk of a much realigned calendar that even the Churches can't agree upon, and that in itself a quirk of the ego of Italian Dictators of old...

Alternatively and un-politically: Can't we just go by the alignment of the planets as measured by one or more of the fabulous structures of antiquity such as Khufu or Stonehenge?

Or others??

Making progress here on my domestic duties catch up as I have my 2nd coffee break for the morning while waiting for the dishwater to cool down enough to get my hands into and once they're done it'll be floor mopping. Then I'll get to add that compost to my potato tyre stacks while the floors up here dry.

Cheers.

And our Prime Meridian rotates around to mark another annual period as we fly along around our orbit of an insignificant star in the more unfashionable end of the western arm spiral of a galaxy...

Happy New Year!

Enjoy!!
