There's been another bit of a hanky panky going on at the BBC it seems, or maybe not.

BBC suspends presenter for allegedly paying teen for sexually explicit photos.

....The Sun newspaper, which first reported the allegations, cited the young person's mother as saying the unnamed male presenter had paid the teenager more than 35,000 pounds ($67,177) over three years for the images.....

Or is it just a case of a young girl getting an early start into the "Fans Only" fad a tad early?

Lawyer for teen involved in BBC presenter allegations denies claims.

.....The lawyer for the young person has said the claims are "rubbish".

"Nothing inappropriate or unlawful has taken place between our client and the BBC personality," they said.....

Froman erlier report:
Media lawyer Mark Stephens told BBC Breakfast the investigation has a "long way to go" yet, and "it does appear that even the police don't think that there was an obvious criminal offence having been committed".

IIRC, in an even earlier report it was stated that the mother & daughter are "estranged".
Now the stepdad has provided a different account to his 1st.

And it takes yet another turn.

BBC presenter sent abusive messages to a second young person as director defends BBC process.

The BBC says a young person has come forward to make complaints about the presenter at the centre of the scandal over alleged payments to a teenager for explicit images.

The young person, who has no connection to the first and is in their early 20s, told BBC News the two connected on a dating app but never met.

When the person hinted online that they might reveal the presenters identity, they were sent abusive, expletive-filled messages that frightened them and they remain scared of the presenter.

BBC News said it had verified that the messages were sent from a phone number belonging to the presenter.....

Well the U.K. becomes the 1st new member of the CPTPP, but China will likely not make the cut.

Trans-Pacific trade pact members gathering information on aspiring partners as UK joins the group.

Members of a major trans-Pacific trade pact have said they were gathering information on China, Taiwan and other countries interested in joining the agreement to see whether they were able to meet the group's "high standards".

The comments followed the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) meeting in Auckland.

At the meeting, Britain formally signed the treaty to become a member and a decision to review and update the agreement was also made.

Along with China and Taiwan, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Ecuador have also applied to join.

A decision on who will join and when will be made collectively.

"The membership is currently undertaking an information-gathering process on whether aspirant economies can meet the CPTPP's high standards, taking into account their experience on their trade commitments," the members said in a joint statement.

The CPTPP is a landmark trade pact agreed in 2018 between 11 countries including Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.

China's application to join the pact is now next in line if they are dealt with in the order they were received, but the country faces a number of hurdles to be included.....
And I very much doubt that China can (or will) make the grade on their current course.

Deloitte now faces the Senate inquiry into the "PwC tax scandal".

Deloitte CEO tells Senate committee into integrity his work is not worth his $3.5m salary.

The CEO of one of Australia's major consulting firms has admitted to a Senate committee his position is not worthy of a salary seven times that of the prime minister's.

Four executives from Deloitte fronted a Monday public hearing into the integrity of consulting firms that provide services to the federal government.

The inquiry was launched in response to what has become known as the "PwC tax scandal", which involved senior partners misusing confidential government information to help big multinational companies avoid paying more tax.

In Deloitte's first appearance before the committee, the top brass were slammed by both senators Deborah O'Neill and Barbara Pocock for being opaque about salaries and employee misconduct.

The committee asked for an anonymised breakdown of how many Deloitte employees earned more than $1 million but chairman Tom Imbesi said that could not be provided due to commercial sensitivities.

"So, providing the number of people in million-dollar bands is something you're not comfortable giving to the Australian public given that last year you took $712 million of public money?" Senator Pocock said.

Eventually, CEO Adam Powick told the hearing the average base salary of a partner at Deloitte was between $500,000 and $600,000.

It has been publicly reported Mr Powick earns around $3.5 million, which Senator O'Neill went on to grill him about.

"Are you really worth seven times the salary of the Australian prime minister?" she asked.

"No," he answered.

"I happen to deeply recognise that I'm incredibly privileged to earn what I do for what I do."......

An analysis into How the big four accounting firms infiltrated governments, earning more than $10b over a decade while taxpayers are left in the dark.

Looks like EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC all need to be dropped from all government contracts all around the world.

It looks like Deloitte has more to answer for.

Senator calls for Deloitte to face fresh grilling over claims ex-partner David Milo shared military documents.

A federal senator says reports of a former Deloitte partner leaking confidential defence documents demonstrate the "threat" consulting firms pose to Australia.

Former Deloitte consultant David Milo used confidential government documents to try and win work for his new consulting firm Synergy 360, according to Nine News reports on Thursday.

In 2018, a year after leaving Deloitte, Mr Milo reportedly sent private military documents to Synergy 360 colleagues who were trying to win major military contracts at the time.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Deloitte said it had made Defence aware of the matter.

"It appears shortly before he left the firm David Milo transferred information from his Deloitte email to his personal email. Deloitte had no knowledge of this activity nor of these emails," the statement read.....

I've noticed that in the U.S. some universities have been accused of being racist over their admission policies. But could it just be that certain races are not studying the right subjects in high school?

An interesting observation in the US, in high school maths is taught in sections such as Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus etc.
It has been observed that in high school, Calculus has been completed by:

46 percent of Asian,
18 percent of white students,
9 percent of Hispanic students,
6 percent of Black students, of high school graduates,

When the universities haven't been, it's just the applicants have not gained the right subjects to study maths, science and engineering.

It would be interesting to see the comparison between STEM & non-STEM subjects for the various ethnic groups, and then plot that against "aspirational subject" at university.

Now this would have to be 1 of the most stupidest cases the U.S. has going.

'Top Gun' pilot speaks from his Australian prison cell as he fights extradition to the US for allegedly training Chinese pilots.

......The accusations against Mr Duggan stem from his work between 2010 and 2012 as an instructor at the Test Flying Academy of South Africa.

His lawyer Bernard Collaery told 7.30 he believed the charges were politically motivated amid tensions between the United States and China. He claimed Australia, as an ally of the US, had a conflict of interest.

"So far as China is concerned, we were conducting joint military exercises at sea between the Royal Australian Navy, and the PLA (People's Liberation Army) Navy at a time (2010) when Dan Duggan is accused of, as it were, consorting with the enemy. It's double-standard. It's hypocrisy," he said.

"You must agree it makes a good show trial in Washington where the United States system is known for it. If Australia does extradite him we're liable to see him become a pawn in this China game. It is very worrying."
'Now I'm in prison, and no one else is'

The US indictment alleges Mr Duggan received more than $182,000 for providing a range of services, including teaching Chinese pilots how to take off and land on an aircraft carrier.

7.30 put the allegation directly to him.

"I think the better question is, with all due respect, is that 'Was there any training that went on that was illegal?' And the answer to that is an emphatic 'no'.

"There was no, and I repeat, there was no secret information, or proprietary information, or anything like that, it's all public domain, open-source information that anybody if they're interested in, could Google it or look it up on Wikipedia," he told 7.30......
It just seems like they're looking for scapegoats again.

Georgina has a bit to explain from ripping off partners as well as her children after all her years of greed and trying to stop these cases going to court.

Fancy, a woman so greedy that she'd even dud her kids out of their well overdue inheritance.

Prosecutors say a Chicago man stabbed his girlfriend up to 150 times, killing her as she visited his house with their two young children on Monday.

After 8:30 p.m. Monday, Chicago’s 911 center received several calls from (his) phone number from a man who kept saying, “it’s a bad day ever.” But the man could not provide an address.

Police dispatchers eventually figured out the call was coming from the 2400 block of East 74th Place, and they sent Chicago police officers to check it out.

(He) opened the door to his third-floor apartment when police knocked around 9 p.m. The proffer said he was sitting just inside the doorway, bleeding heavily from both hands. His feet and clothing were bloody, too.

I hope that this lowlife sicko gets all he deserves while serving his time. Castration would not be enough for this 1.

The slime bag is already serving 35yrs in jail for child sexual abuse cases between January 2011 and June 2014, he'll certainly be getting a long extension added onto that.
