Man who 'has fathered 550 kids' faces court to stop his ‘obsessive’ sperm donation
(He) is accused of misleading hundreds of women by telling them he would only help conceive a maximum of 25 children.

Advocacy group The Donor Child Foundation is suing the 41-year-old to prevent him from donating even more sperm.

Authorities reportedly blacklisted the musician in 2017, after the Dutch Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology flagged him for having helped conceive 100 babies through 10 different clinics.

1: We are all human.
2: We all make mistakes.
3: Wherever possible, we correct them.

Unfortunately, technology only makes people use silicon rather than the Mk 1 computer.
Sadly, more & more issues such as the one below, only continues to confirm that fact.

As I got older, I could not help thinking on how stupidity works its way upwards.
50 years ago here in the UK at least, the bean counters thought it would be a good idea to cut costs in the public transport sector.
Switching from 2 manning to OMO (One Man Operator)
Getting rid of guards on trains & conductors on buses.
50 years later...
...Driverless buses
Bus captains? (known as conductors in the past).
Safety drivers? (known as bus drivers in the past).
Sheesh!

Sheesh!

I strongly suspect that the extra staff going along for the ride are temporary and there only to "reassure" the guinea-pig public...

Thence onwards just like the London DLR...

Roll onwards into progress!

Now that's not good.

Underwater pictures from inside Fukushima nuclear reactor spark safety concerns.

An underwater probe has captured images of the inside of one of the three melted reactors at Japan's wrecked Fukushima nuclear power plant, triggering concerns about earthquake resistance in the case of another major disaster.

The plant's operator, Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), has been sending robotic probes inside the Unit 1 reactor's primary containment chamber since last year.

The new images, released on Tuesday, show the area inside the Unit 1 pedestal, a supporting structure right underneath the reactor's core, where traces of melted fuel are most likely to be found.

They show that the 120-centimetre-thick concrete exterior of the pedestal is significantly damaged on the bottom leaving the steel reinforcement inside exposed, triggering concerns about the reactor's safety.

About 880 tonnes of highly radioactive melted nuclear fuel remain inside the three reactors, about 10 times the damaged fuel that was removed from the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in the United States after its 1979 partial core meltdown....

I'm sorry Chucky, but it's bound to happen sooner or later.

Australia could become a republic in less than a decade, superforecasters claim.

With King Charles’ royal coronation now less than a month away, there has been an increasingly pressing question on the minds of the Aussie public.

It is nothing to do with what Charles will wear, what part the royal children will play, or even whether Harry and Meghan will attend – though the latter is still of considerable interest.

The one big thing Aussies want to know is will Australia ever become a republic and, if so, when will it happen?

Since the Queen’s death last year, the debate about whether Australia should become a republic has once again gained traction.

Now, according to a team of expert predictors from around the world, known as superforecasters, Australia could officially part from the British monarchy within the next decade.....

What was feared could happen has happened. :-O

Ohio train derailment: Tractor-trailer carrying thousands of pounds of toxic material overturns.

A tractor-trailer carrying tens of thousands of pounds of toxic soil from the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment overturned Monday and spilled about half of its contents within just a few miles of where the Norfolk Southern train crashed about two months before.

The commercial vehicle was hauling 40,000 pounds of contaminated soil from the site of the train derailment when it crashed on state Route 165 near Waterford Road, just about four miles northwest of East Palestine. The driver, 74-year-old Phillip Falck, of McDonald, Pennsylvania, sustained minor injuries from the crash and was cited for operating a vehicle without reasonable control, per WKBN....

Has the leak been found?

The man who may have leaked top-secret Pentagon documents was a fit and armed military guy who controlled a group of young gamers united by their worship of guns and God.

The Washington Post has traced the recent Pentagon intelligence leak to a man who shared hundreds of secret files with a small group of young gamers on a private Discord server.

The unnamed man, nicknamed OG by the other server members, said he worked on a military base and claimed to know high-level government secrets withheld from the public, two unnamed group members told The Post.

Their invite-only server on Discord — a messaging and voice chat platform for gamers — had around two dozen male members worldwide who shared a passion for guns, military gear, and God, The Post reported.

As early as 2020, OG began sending the classified information to his Discord server, which was once named "Thug Shaker Central," per The Post.

OG, the server's administrator, expected the group's members to pay close attention to the flood of information he fed them, one of the two young Discord users told The Post.

"He's fit. He's strong. He's armed. He's trained. Just about everything you can expect out of some sort of crazy movie," the member said.

But at the time, OG was only sharing his own rewritten transcripts of the documents, hand-typing them with annotations, one of the Discord members told The Post. The transcripts were extensive and contained information such as the locations of top politicians and military secrets, the outlet reported.

Then in late 2022, OG became irate with the gamers for not paying attention to the secrets he shared and started sending photographs of the actual documents instead, per The Post. Furniture and household items like Gorilla Glue and nail clippers can be seen in some of his images, offering potential clues that might help authorities track him down, The Post reported.

The Post reviewed around 300 photos of classified documents, some of which have yet to be made public. An estimated 100 intelligence files have been discovered on the internet so far.....

Another leak gets plugged.

Sydney man accused of accepting money for selling national security information.

The Australian Federal Police has charged a New South Wales man with a foreign interference offence, after he allegedly accepted money in exchange for information about national security issues.

The AFP alleges two foreign intelligence officers contacted the man, offering him payment for information about Australian defence, economic and national security arrangements.

It is alleged the Australian man compiled reports for the officers, and received payment for them.

The arrest — at a house in Bondi — follows a joint ASIO and Counter Foreign Interference Taskforce investigation that found the 55-year-old businessman had received payment for reports from individuals "working for a foreign intelligence service".

According to the Australian Federal Police (AFP), while overseas, the Australian national met with two representatives of a think tank after being approached by another man on social media.....

Proof that going "woke" won't send you broke.

Go woke, go broke? Here’s what really happened after iconic brand Coon changed its name to Cheer.

So much for “go woke, go broke” — Aussie shoppers are still cheering for Cheer.

When the iconic cheese Coon changed its “offensive” name in 2021, some outraged shoppers vowed to boycott the brand declaring it was “cancel culture” and “political correctness gone mad”.

And late last year, commentators declared “go woke, go broke” had struck again, after Canadian dairy giant Saputo was forced to shut down its Maffra factory in Victoria’s Gippsland region, sacking 75 workers, following dismal financial results.

But according to data from market research provider Euromonitor International obtained by news.com.au, Cheer cheese has remained the top-selling brand despite the name change.

And a Coles spokeswoman also confirmed that “there’s been no impact to sales since the rebrand”.

Between 2018 and 2020, Coon was the leading brand with an 8.9 per cent market share, according to Euromonitor data.

In 2021, under the new name Cheer, it increased that share to 9 per cent, and 9.2 per cent in 2022.....

Maybe the dead guy should of picked a different address...
Catalytic-converter theft suspect stabbed to death in South El Monte driveway
... Deputies made contact with the resident of the house, who said he had been sleeping when he heard people outside tampering with his car. He went outside to investigate, where he was confronted by three to four people. An altercation ensued and one man was fatally stabbed.

Two to three other suspects ran away, and were last seen driving eastbound on Thienes Avenue in a compact vehicle, according to investigators.

Hmmmmm... Inside Job?
Nearly $15 million in gold and other valuables was brazenly snatched from a “high value” shipping container at Canada’s busiest airport earlier this week, authorities said Thursday.

The heist unfolded after the cargo was unloaded from a plane shortly after landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday night.

“As per normal procedure, the aircraft was unloaded and cargo was transported from the aircraft to a holding cargo facility,”

Miller High Life, "The Champagne of Beers," has fallen afoul of strict European laws on "champagne"
Goods cannot be imported into Europe with the name "Champagne" if they are not produced in the Champagne region.

Customs officers in Belgium seized a shipment of 2,352 cans of the beer in February, after it landed in the Belgian port of Antwerp, on its way to Germany. Officials seized the cans "because they used the protected designation of origin 'Champagne,' and this goes against European regulations," Belgian customs general administrator Kristian Vanderwaeren told reporters.

Based in Milwaukee, Miller has been using the phrase "Champagne of Beers" since 1906.
