The steps greedy people go to to make millions at the expense of the public.

Dev Sindhu: The mystery man at the centre of a deepening crisis threatening an Australian energy grid.

In 2015, a man who had recently arrived in Perth walked into a luxury car dealership and made a straightforward request.

He wanted to buy a Ferrari.

The price tag was $750,000.

So he went to a bank, withdrew the money in cash, and took the keys to the car.

Although unknown to virtually everyone inside Western Australia at the time, that man's name is increasingly being whispered along the corridors of power in Perth's political and business districts.

He is Dev Sindhu, the scion of a rich Indian family that controls a sprawling company at the centre of an energy crisis threatening to take down WA's biggest power system this summer.

Where he came from, what he's like, and how he came to be the mystery man in the middle of an international game of chicken over energy security in Australia has been an untold story — until now.

It's a story linked to India's ruling party, claims of corruption, and vast wealth in a country where more than a billion people live on barely $10 a day.....

Kansas City Chiefs Superfan Arrested for Armed Bank Robbery
You’ve heard of a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but how about a bank robber in wolf’s clothing?

Kansas City Chiefs superfan ChiefsAholic, whose real name is Xavier Michael Babudar, is known for wearing a KC Wolf costume at Arrowhead Stadium and Chiefs road games. However, he was absent from Sunday’s game in Houston in the stands and on social media. The @ChiefsAholic Twitter account had been silent since Dec. 16, raising suspicion among other Chiefs fans online.

A deep dive from fellow fans soon unveiled why the account had gone quiet – Babudar was arrested for robbing a bank that morning.

You have to wonder where the world is heading when this happens.

GOP firebrand Michele Fiore appointed to Nevada judgeship.

And she doesn't even have a law degree let alone proper morals. :-O

Cult leader on the run.

Scientology leader David Miscavige 'nowhere to be found' as prosecutors try to serve federal trafficking suit.

Scientology leader David Miscavige is "nowhere to be found" as prosecutors attempt to serve the 62-year-old with a federal child trafficking lawsuit that names him as a defendant, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The outlet reported that process servers have tried to serve papers to Miscavige 27 different times over the past four months in the Clearwater, Fla. area and in Los Angeles, to no avail.

When lawyers showed up to Scientology properties in search of the leader, security guards reportedly said they were clueless. The plaintiffs in the lawsuit have also hired a private investigator to help find Miscavige....
This cult really needs to be dismantled.

It just doesn't pay to report the truth in some countries.

Six journalists have been detained in South Sudan over a viral video that appeared to show the country’s president wetting himself.

Maybe he should've worn his incontinence pants as I'm sure that he can afford them. ;-)

An Aussie council has to admit to their screw up.

Melbourne council apologises for resurfacing road around parked cars.

Some very inefficient tarmac laying there - last time I saw that over here there were mounds of material piled up right against the car's tyres making it " a bit of a challenge" when trying to depart.

First it's been a tipper load of firearms, but now the TSA confiscates an anti-tank weapon from passenger's luggage at Texas airport.

Russian connections.

Former top FBI official arrested, accused of working for Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

A former top FBI official was arrested over the weekend on accusations he worked for sanctioned Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, prosecutors said on Monday.

Charles McGonigal, who led the agency's counterintelligence division in New York before retiring in 2018, faces four counts including sanctions violations and money laundering.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan say Mr McGonigal, 54, received concealed payments from Mr Deripaska, who was sanctioned in 2018, in exchange for investigating a rival oligarch in 2021.

He is also charged with unsuccessfully pushing in 2019 for the lifting of the sanctions on Mr Deripaska....

Just another controversial Indian coal company with an already dubious reputation that's looking even more dodgy now.

Adani Group considering legal action over fraud allegations as shares plunge up to 20 per cent.

That's great, it could be anywhere by now.

Tiny radioactive capsule lost somewhere on road for up to 18 days.

Authorities in Western Australia continue their search for a tiny capsule containing radioactive material, lost somewhere on a 1000km stretch of road for up to 18 days.

The capsule – which could fit onto a 10 cent piece – came loose during transportation from north of the Pilbara mining town of Newman to the Perth suburb of Malaga earlier in January.

Officials said it was unclear when the capsule went missing, but it could have been anytime between January 10 and January 16.

These dates reveal it could have been lost for 18 days on the massive stretch of road....
