WTF, are you suppose to call a person "hairless" instead (BTW, it's not just men who go bald) and what about those who shave their heads to be bald.

Calling a man 'bald' is sexual harassment, a UK tribunal rules.

I can see this causing problems.

Maybe it's time to start thinking about banning drive-thrus in the U.S. with all the violence now associated with them these days, but some karma can be witnessed.

Googling "suspect description bald" returns 8,440,000 results. The lawsuits could tie up the courts for decades and bankrupt numerous police departments. :^p

I wonder if Donny set this scam up.

Roofing scams put Florida’s property insurance market ‘on the verge of collapse’.

An avalanche of lawsuits fueled by roofing scams has plunged Florida into a property insurance crisis that has forced dozens of companies to shut their doors, drop customers, raise rates or flee the state. It’s a slow-motion collapse that lawmakers have known about for years but have failed to fix.

The mess has made it harder for people to protect their homes in a state that is frequently battered by high winds, hard rains and hail and is increasingly vulnerable to climate change. Things could get worse if the state is hit by a major hurricane, which hasn’t happened since 2018, experts say.

At stake is Florida’s ability to withstand natural disasters, and its reputation as a place to live well cheaply.

“Florida is the most volatile prop insurance market in the country and it is on the verge of collapse,” said Mark Friedlander, spokesman for the Insurance Information Institute, an industry association.

Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, acknowledged the emergency last month, when he ordered the state Legislature to come up with a solution before the June 1 start of hurricane season. Lawmakers will begin their special session on Monday.

The crisis is largely the result of a plague of roofing scams, fed by loopholes in state law and a string of court decisions that allowed them to proliferate, insurers and government officials say.

The scam works like this: Contractors knock on doors offering to inspect homeowners’ roofs for storm damage. They say they can help get a roof replacement covered by insurance, and they persuade the homeowners to sign away their rights to file the claims themselves. The contractors then file fraudulent damage claims, and when the insurance companies balk, the contractors sue. The insurance companies usually settle the disputed claims for many times more than the original claim. Most of that money goes to the contractors’ lawyers in the form of a “contingency fee multiplier.” Some lawyers file hundreds of such lawsuits a year.

The homeowner may get a free roof, but everyone pays for it through increased rates.

“Ultimately, the victim is every Floridian who is buying their neighbors’ roofs,” said state Sen. Jeff Brandes, a Republican from St. Petersburg who has criticized the state Legislature for not acting faster....
But he's probably wondering now why he didn't think of it 1st.

With all that is going on around the world these days focus is being set on 1 world wide company with no fixed head quarters.

McKinsey’s consulting work with Russian weapons manufacturer draws scrutiny in Washington.

Russia has fired more than 2,000 missiles on Ukraine since invading in February. The engines for many of these missiles were manufactured by a massive state-owned enterprise called Rostec, and executives for that company hired the global consulting giant McKinsey & Co. in recent years for advice.

At the same time McKinsey was advising the Russian defense conglomerate, though not on any work directly involving weapons, the firm was carrying out sensitive national security contracts for the Defense Department and the U.S. intelligence community, according to an NBC News investigation.

McKinsey has come under scrutiny in Congress for its work with state-owned companies in China, with lawmakers questioning if the company should be awarded national security-related contracts given its extensive presence in China. McKinsey also faces accusations of ignoring possible conflicts of interest when it advised both opioid manufacturers and officials regulating opioids at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

By carrying out consulting work with a company like Rostec, McKinsey placed itself in a potentially risky position, given its work with the U.S. government, according to Scott Blacklin, a former head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Russia and president of the consultancy Blacklin and Associates....
Well if that isn't 1 shady company (with fingers in all the pies?).

As its reputation heads down the drain the U.S. supreme court is only inflicting more self harm upon itself by giving a good impression that it's nothing now but the weaponised arm of the RINO party.

Supreme court guts lifeline for prisoners who claim wrongful convictions.

The Supreme Court just condemned a man to die despite strong evidence he’s innocent.

The Supreme Court is on the brink of disaster.

I wonder what those RINO judges will do next to further degrade the court's long standing reputation?

After the right wing bloodbath of the weekend here the Victorian branch of the party has moved quickly to address 1 of the problems that it's federal counterpart refused to do and in the end was just 1 of the things that brought them undone.

Victorian Liberal MP Bernie Finn dumped from party after anti-abortion comments.

I hope that he enjoys retirement after the next election down there, but in the meantime he'll just have to put up with being a voiceless independent while making his old party even more voiceless in the process and I bet that his constituents won't be very happy with him about that.

More proof that our now ex right wing prime minister still doesn't get it displaying more Trump like behaviour.

Morrison refused to call Liberal MP Fiona Martin after she lost her seat

And so many of his own party know it and are now dumping on him. This 1 sums them all up fairly well.

Sharma reveals why moderate voters turned on Morrison.

But how long will the loser put up with his demotion for? Another question is, will he cause trouble now on the backbenches like his predecessors?

Inside Morrison’s new life with slashed salary, loss of house, chefs, cars, after election loss.

Another question is, will he cause trouble now on the backbenches like his predecessors?

And in the end even our other ex right wing prime minister who started the rot, Anthony "the mad" Abbott, just doesn't get it at all.

Abbott warns Liberals against giving into political correctness amid election loss.

You'd think that with just 2 states now left under their control, well sort of in N.S.W., they'd realised that they have a big problem with their ever further right leaning agenda.

They need to hire R2D2...

... but likely don't have the budget.

Which comes to when such automation is let loose upon the world unsupervised... Will the budget be guaranteed to properly maintain such things to safely avoid disaster?...

This is a 1st for me.
On its way but is running late
Ordered 3 items from Amazon on 6th.
On confirmation of order, 2 items will arrive on 9th & 3rd on 10th.
2 received on 8th.
All day today, last item said, will arrive by 8pm.
After 12pm, just knew that to be false. :-)
4pm 50/50.
5pm maybe.
6pm no way.
8pm no way Jose.
Logged in 15m ago & saw the quote.
No way does Royal mail deliver parcels that late.
In fact to date, any parcel heavier than a packet is delivered by van more often than not before mid-day.
1st 2 items courier.
3rd Royal Mail.
Personally, I very much doubt it will arrive tomorrow.
