Day dawned hours ago. The bright light in the sky woke me up, and now I'm ready for bed again, but that bright light is still climbing higher in the sky.... Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Posting far too early on a Good Friday morning due to heavy rain pounding my steel roof. Cheers. |

Well, I seem to have experienced three seasons all in the one day! ... And a local around these parts saw me in shorts and exclaimed that I've cursed the land to suffer snow tonight... So far, suffering only a dark grey sogginess. Whatever next?! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Well the river here is up this morning, but I'm not so sure that the people out in the N.S.W. outback will be happy with what we're sending down to them after what they've already had out of this system. Cheers. |

Just looked in the old thread. 5-13-2022 at 4:04 AM - PDT Thanks, Lynn! :-) I just checked the bank, and my first paycheck has been "Direct Deposited"!!! :-) It's only one week's work, as my training class came in at the 2nd Week of a pay period, AND, for some strange reason one of my training days, (last Friday), did NOT get logged in time - so, now, that day will get 'added' to the next pay period. So, the 27th's check will be for 2-Weeks and 1-Day. :-) I've had to buy some stuff out-of-pocket to get prepared for the job. A new set of shoes, Dr. Scholl's 'Custom Orthotics' with knee support, a pair of Red Wing boots with Red Wing arch supports, and an Igloo 1-Gal jug for ice water. I had to borrow from mom dad, (short term), to get the shoes and the Igloo, but I paid for the boots on my credit card. The boots and shoes are all black, of course, to meet the requirements of the Post Office. I still have to get a head-mounted flashlight, a set of finger-less gloves and a combination lock. I'm in a 90 Day probation period that started 4-30-22. (4-30 is my start/hire date, even though training/first day wasn't until 5-2-22.) TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Winning on a Good Friday evening as the odd bit of misty drizzle passes overhead. Cheers. |

Winning on a gloomy looking Saturday morning, but hopefully I may get some wood split and stacked today. Cheers. |

Ok... So the fish n chip and ice cream and battered chocolate vans are out and yet very few people are to be seen... Such is my curse for bringing a wintery day to the area...! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Still getting short periods of misty drizzle here as I'm about to go out and split some firewood that's is currently blocking my driveway before bringing it inside, but we are up to 17C (feels like 15C) now without seeing any sunshine so far with 19C being expected. Cheers. |

Well I'm now enjoying a beer after splitting a trolley load of that wood (very heavy, but very well seasoned stuff, though some had some mud on it) and getting back my vehicular access to my shed and backyard again (even if there is a diversion in place to the shed). Any that load can dry out in front of the wood heater downstairs while I have my LLB before I stack it up. We have made it to 18C (feels like 15C) here with a few splashes of sunshine being seen (while inside), but all I got while I was out there was patches of drizzle while swinging the block buster and standing in a bog that turned muddy. Cheers. |
