Well let's go again. The rules: 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event that triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, the old winner posts a declaration of the new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) Enjoy. |

Thanks everyone. Carlos that looks a lot like the town water here did for the 1st few years I was here until they fitted a better filtering system. :-O I still won't drink it even now that it does look clear. Anyhow the showers, rain and storms are continuing on here. Cheers. |

My water looks that bad sometimes too. But I have 15 stages of filtration before it gets to the tap. The first sediment filter gets changed monthly. By the time it's ready to drink it's cleaner than Fiji Water. |

Phew! What a silly rush!! There were two minor mistakes made in haste that can be allowed to pass, so that's one rushed gamble that did gain a little speed. However, not worthwhile... Far better is to keep to a good plan. Meanwhile, the sun is shining and the weekend starts now! Posting now that Friday night has turned into Saturday morning. So far we've clocked up 60mm of rain here over the last 2.5 days and the wet is expected to last for another week. :-( But that drainage trench I've been working on is doing very well so far. Cheers. |

It's quite a cloudy Saturday morning here, but at least it isn't raining for a change though that will change soon enough. We got off to a 13C (felt like 12C) start here while 18C is expected. Cheers. |
