No place is safe for war criminals on Ukrainian soil.

The Ukrainians Have Struck Another Russian Airfield In Crimea.

A Ukrainian drone blew up an ammunition dump at a Russian airfield near Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea on Tuesday, according to Russian media....
That's a lot of PooTin's ammo being taken out of late and it's yet to be reported if any planes were damaged in the strike.

That's a lot of PooTin's ammo being taken out of late and it's yet to be reported if any planes were damaged in the strike.

Reading between the lines of several reports, it would appear that this strike was on an ammo dump 'close' to the airfield, but is also very close to the railway which was used to bring the ammo to this location. And that it probably wasn't an attack on the airfield.
Taking it along with the attack on the Electricity sub-station. I think the Ukrainians are attempting to disrupt the railway system as much as possible. The railway is Russia's main way of transporting supplies in territory it controls.

History repeats?...

Ukraine war: Thousands of Jews quit Russia amid fears of persecution
wrote:
Russia is facing the mass migration abroad of large numbers of its Jewish population...

... an astonishing 20,500 of Russia's estimated total of 165,000 Jews have gone since March.

Thousands more have moved to other countries.

Undoubtedly the spectre of historical Jewish persecution has loomed large in the minds of many of those who are a part of this sudden mass migration and those still trying to get out of Russia...

As the Ukraine's Independence Day holiday approaches Is PooTin Plotting to Unleash Hell on This Holiday?

While Ukrainian officials are warming the people of that happening there's also Zelenskyy’s warning to the people, “Please do not go near the military installations of the Russian army and all those places where they store ammunition and equipment, where they have their headquarters!”.

Another set of explosions at a Russian AF base. this time in Russia at Belgorod. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZNCbfIGuiI
Belgorod is about 30km over the border, north of Khariv, which the Russians have been shelling nearly every day since the beginning.
I guess the reason is to try and limit the shelling and reduce the Russian capabilities in the north of the Donbas region.

It's being reported that Russia Forcibly Conscripts Over 400 Mine Workers for Ukraine War.
Now why would they want to do that?

It brings back stories of trench warfare on the Western Front, in the First World War. Each side dug ever longer and deeper tunnels under the other side's tenches, filled them with explosives, and blew them up. Special military units were formed, made up of specialist miners from the coalfields, who wouldn't otherwise have been recruited: they weren't tall enough for normal units.

Those PooTin war criminals sure can run, but they can't hide.

Ukrainian Marines Say They've Tracked and Killed Russian Troops in Donetsk.

Meanwhile a Russian Village 9 Miles From Ukraine Sees Ammo Explosions Twice in a Week and Latvia further adds insult to PooTin as it removes monument honoring Soviet victory over Nazis as it continues erasing monuments honoring totalitarian regimes.

I see that Boris Johnson has volunteered to be a human shield in Kyiv on Independence Day.

Johnson in Ukraine to mark Independence Day

The outgoing UK prime minister is in the Ukrainian capital as part of the country's marking of Independence Day, Downing Street says.
Interesting.

The sanctions against Russia's invasion are working?...

Ukraine war: UK imports no fuel from Russia for first time on record
wrote:
... Fuel imports from Russia fell by £499m - or 100% - compared with the average for the previous 12 months to February.

In 2021, the UK imported around 4% of its gas from Russia, and 11% of its oil...

... Exports of most goods to Russia had also decreased substantially by June, with machinery and transport equipment sales slashed by 91.3% to £118m.

Overall, exports to Russia dropped by almost 70%, to £168m, compared with the monthly average in the 12 months to February. The only products to see a slight rise were chemicals, driven by an increase in exports of medicinal and pharmaceutical products, which are exempt from sanctions.

The ONS said that apart from government-stipulated sanctions, trade between Russia and the UK was lessened as businesses voluntarily sought alternatives to Russian goods...

Very good to stop the PooTin blood money ASAP.

From The Telegraph. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/08/25/ukraine-news-russia-war-latest-kherson-crimea-zaporizhzhia-live/
Russian tanks can be seen just 60 metres from Europe's largest nuclear reactor in new satellite images released by the Ministry of Defence (MoD).

In early March, Russian ground forces seized Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in southeastern Ukraine, and analysis of imagery from August 21 has now identified Russian military equipment and tanks located a short distance from reactor five.

In a statement released about the alarming imagery, the MoD said: "Russian troops were probably attempting to conceal the vehicles by parking them under overhead pipes and gantries."

The MoD warned that Moscow "is probably prepared to exploit any Ukrainian military activity near ZNPP for propaganda purposes" and that the principal risks to the reactor remain disruption to cooling systems and damages to back-up power supply.

The government in Kyiv has alleged Russia is essentially holding the Soviet-era nuclear plant hostage, storing weapons there and launching attacks from around it, while Moscow accuses Ukraine of recklessly firing on the facility, which is located in the city of Enerhodar.

"Anybody who understands nuclear safety issues has been trembling for the last six months," said Mycle Schneider, an independent policy consultant and coordinator of the World Nuclear Industry Status

There have been reports that recruiters have even been visiting prisons, promising inmates freedom and money.

Ah, Russian Penal Battalions. Wonder how many Russians are aware of their recent history.

That nuclear plant is now cut off from all external grid supplies...

That's of great concern for maintaining power for reactor cooling... Even when idle, the reactors still must have their cooling system powered and active...

Meanwhile, PooTin has weaponized the Russian energy supplies to freeze Ukraine, and us all, into submission over the coming winter...

Until the next PooTin "Special Operation" and invasion?

What has been that history about appeasement?...

It was the failure of the emergency diesel generators used to keep the cooling system working, that caused the Fukushima nuclear disaster

Wasn't it thinking the reactor could power the cooling pumps that blew up Chernobyl?

Not quite...

The 'safety' test was to prove that there was enough generator inertia to power a safe shutdown of the reactor.

Except...

The intended test was postponed from the day shift and instead pushed over onto a sleepy night shift.

Worse still... The reactor was being run ready for the test but was then run at high power to generate electricity, hence the delay.

The Chernobyl design has an inherent explosive runaway mode where once the water moderator boils around the fuel, dropping in the control rods to stop the fission instead causes a steam explosion...

The operators didn't understand what was happening and sleep walked into disaster...

Scott Manley on YouTube gives a very good explanation...

PooTin now burns our planet.

And there is also the recent near-death experience of the Russian controlled largest nuclear power station in Europe:

Zaporizhzhia: World narrowly avoided radiation accident...

Scorched earth in the extreme?...

This madness really needs to stop sooner rather than ever more deadly later...

PooTin's criminal war isn't going very well.

Humiliation for PooTin as 200 paratroopers are wiped out in a Ukrainian missile strike.

I hope that they enjoyed staying at that hotel.

Meanwhile a Russian Force Won't Return From Mission Fearing Ukraine Deployment.
