Directly on the front lines of the cyberwarfare:

After Ukraine recruits an “IT Army,” dozens of Russian sites go dark
wrote:
Cyberspace is feeling the strain of Russia’s deadly invasion of Ukraine: multiple sites tied to the Kremlin and its allies in Belarus have been unavailable to all or at least major parts of the Internet in recent days.

The outages began last week with the defacement of Russian websites and picked up steam over the weekend, following a call from Ukraine’s vice prime minister for the formation of an “IT Army” to target Russian interests...

... The task list included 31 organizations affiliated with the Kremlin, Russian banks and corporations, and Belarus...

Meanwhile, Elon Musk and Starlink have provided the near impossible:

Elon Musk: “High” probability of Russian attacks on Starlink in Ukraine
wrote:
Musk urges users to place Starlink antennas as far away from people as possible.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk yesterday warned that Starlink user terminals in Ukraine could be targeted by Russia and advised users to take precautions. "Important warning: Starlink is the only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine, so probability of being targeted is high. Please use with caution," Musk tweeted.

When asked for specific advice, Musk said people in Ukraine should turn Starlink on only when it's needed, place the antenna "as far away from people as possible," and "place light camouflage over [the] antenna to avoid visual detection." A thin layer of spray paint would work if there are no metal particles in the paint...

... As previously reported, Ukraine Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov asked Musk to activate Starlink in Ukraine shortly after Russia's invasion of the country disrupted Internet service. Musk responded in the affirmative, and two days later, Fedorov tweeted a photo of a truck full of newly arrived Starlink terminals...

... he followed up on Thursday to say that SpaceX is "updating software to reduce peak power consumption so Starlink can be powered from [a] car cigarette lighter." Musk also wrote that "mobile roaming [has been] enabled, so [the] phased array antenna can maintain signal while on [a] moving vehicle."...

... Starlink hasn't deployed any ground terminals in Ukraine, and the nearest one is reportedly in Wola Krobowska in Poland. Twitter user Oleg Kutkov confirmed that Starlink was working for him in Kyiv on Monday and posted a speed test result showing a download rate of 137Mbps and upload speeds of 24Mbps. He also wrote that his top download speed was over 200Mbps for a while.

Kutkov told Insider that he bought his Starlink dish in December, before the service was operating in Ukraine. "After seeing Musk's tweet on Saturday about Starlink being activated in Ukraine, Kutkov said he decided to try and connect to the service. He said he didn't expect Starlink to go live in the country as soon as 10 hours after Ukraine asked Musk to sent Starlink kits," the Insider article said.

"I didn't expect it will work, but the system appears to be robust and provides a great connection,"...

Just "WOW!!!" for the StarLink response!

Ukraine needs all the help that can be given.

Stay safe folks!

Reading this post, immediately thought: A combination of Hitler & Stalin.
Unlike 80 years ago, a deadly one today.
If martial law were introduced, Mr Putin would be free to do what he wanted, without having to worry about damaging protests in the streets. He has already made it clear to French President Emmanuel Macron that he won't stop until he has occupied the whole of Ukraine - and a French official who listened in on their phone call said, afterwards, that things could get a great deal worse.

How? Well, the nuclear option could be getting decidedly closer. It's a frightening prospect.
As history shows, it's always the peasants that pay the price.

I think that attacking a nuclear power plant should be the straw that breaks the camel's back as far as direct intervention by NATO or some other coalition is concerned. Such an attack can have serious ramifications for all of europe. This is more proof that a madman is in charge of the second most powerful nation on earth. And just when I thought it was safe to go to bed at night.
NATO can't intervene Bob as it's only a defence alliance for member countries and unless a member country is attacked it has to stay out of it.

Putin's not playing by the rules, why should NATO? I'm sure they could find a loophole in the rules if need be.

One of the rules is to not use nukes against a conventional force, Putin has already said he will.

While nuclear winter likely would stop global warming, I'm not sure that is what you desire.

Would you have NATO lower themselves down to Putin's level?

Doing so would give Putin the excuse he wants to claim that the west started WWIII.

I would not lower myself to that level and nor would I give him the satisfaction to be able to make that claim and NATO thinks the same way until Russian bombs/shells/missiles/troops land in NATO or EU territory.

Just like I expected, interest in this topic is waning. Nothing new to discuss and actually nothing we can do as a group to help the Ukrainian people.

‘Clusterf**k’: Nine of Putin’s commanders killed in Ukraine.

Nine of Vladimir Putin’s military commanders have now been killed in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

They are among the 12,000 Russian troops Ukraine now claims it has killed, as one Kremlin official has reportedly described the campaign to subdue its neighbour as a “clusterf**k”, reports The Sun.

The latest senior commander to die is Major General Vitaly Gerasimov, who was killed in fighting outside Ukraine’s second city Kharkiv.

Gerasimov was awarded a medal for “capturing” the disputed province of Crimea in 2014, and also received medals after leading troops in Syria and in the second Chechen war.

Three other top commanders have were killed in recent fighting in Ukraine....

Now there is a bit of sense in Putin's actions.
Ukraine has lots of oil - war pushes oil prices up
Ukraine has lots of grain - Acts to dominate the world grain market.

Thus he gets some much needed hard cash to bail him (and Russia) out of the debit doodoo his previous actions have caused....

As Russian atrocities (aka: war crimes) mount upwards in the Ukraine things just get worse in Russia as Putin's ego takes a hammering.

Insane amount of companies joining Russia boycott.

And the list gets longer by the day while others join Ukrainian forces.

‘World’s deadliest’ sniper arrives in Ukraine to fight the Russians.

Then there's footage of a Russian tank convoy coming under attack and running away.

In a fresh blow for Vladimir Putin, one of Russia’s top colonels has reportedly been killed in a surprise ambush by Ukrainian forces.

Putin would have loved the sight of those tanks running at full speed away from the fight, not (he's more likely screaming for the heads of all those who retreated).
