The next instalment of this enthralling(?) game The following are "the Rules": 1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules. 2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.) 3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached. 4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them. 5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.) 6. No double posts. Violators buy drinks or a meal for the house in Rocky's. 7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post) One final comment - HAVE FUN, but don't let Santa Clause catch you doing so ;-) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Thank goodness for mozzie coils and antihistamine tablets as the little buggers are going mad here. Anyhow I'm just enjoying my last coffee for this morning before donning my gumboots and firing up my Ryobi to get some long overdue edges around the yard done so I can be done by the time that the cricket starts. I'll do the mowing tomorrow morning before more rain turns up. Cheers. |

Well it took me 2hrs and a tank and a half of fuel to get all them edges here, but the yard is now ready for the mower tomorrow. ;-) The temp here has reached 20C (feels like 14C) as a westerly gale now blows across the top of this mountain. Cheers. |

TGIF win. Completing the first week at the new job. Also found out that even though the company Christmas party required proof of vaccination, one of the party goes tested positive yesterday. Do I self-quarantine? |

Lost in the cold muddy misty dark. Nope, there are no stars visible... (Ok... So there's cheating using GNSS!) See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

The mower all fueled up again and I'm just waiting for the Poms to be knocked out so I can go out and finish that last 2/5ths of the yard as I enjoy another ginger beer. Cheers. |

The last time I had a mower, I just needed to make sure the 12/3 cord was intact, today I'd make sure the battery was charged and rideable, with no pull cranks here since they're usually cranky. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Even though I've got a 1184sq.m block here Vic 1 of them wouldn't save me much time at all as more than half of it is taken up by the house, shed, shop (hot weather hangout) and several other obstacles (garden beds and "be very careful what you do here" zones) and that's not to mention the room that it takes up to store 1. It was bad enough having to redo a few parts that I'd already mowed as the kikuyu was already fornicating again making it very hard to see where I've been. ? I'll do it all again in 3 days time before the next wet and it should look good then as the ground should be drier. ;-) Cheers. |

I use an Ego. A single charge allows me to mow 2-3 times. Do need to pull it out today. |
