Pausing for thought for debugging some physics...

Simple method of making liquid oxygen.

Well...

Yep, physics still works.

The new controller is working smoothly and quietly and much better than its predecessor.

There's also another controller in the loop... A newer, table lookup optimized, 'clever' one...

Add some confounding confusions and we have a fun adventure!

Hopefully all the jigsaw pieces fit together tomorrow.

And one good lesson... We need some useful instrumentation on there to actually see what is happening!

At least this is nothing like the 4am test at Chernobyl :-P

You're welcome to our rain from over here...

With the continuing physics:

I'd really like to know exactly what that table lookup controller is doing... The non-blinking LEDs are none too informative... And the 'add-on' to a 'proprietary' (secret) interface to show what the cleverness is doing is done as a triumph of monopolistic extortion...

There is a lot to be said for good old robust Russian mechanical simplicity! As opposed to electronic obfuscation for the sake of a few percent of performance and Marketing extortion...

So far today in the middle of England we've had cloud, sun, cloud, sun, cloud and now rain.

Remarkably mild here and nicely dried out after a stormy wet start. Very nicely useful for fixing various bits of engineering...

Had a brilliantly annoying call from a certain Marketing droid who shamelessly followed the Marketing script to try convince me as "a loyal customer" we should be happy to be paying double... And after wasting my time at that!!

Thankfully, we do have an easy alternative for that one and for better performance.

Not going back to that one any time soon...

That's a bit on the cold side of warm, just about right to go camping.....(others may have a different view on the matter)

Finally some bright sunshine has arrived (for how long is anyone's guess) and the river is back down into its gully (ditto on the guessing), but there was 45.25mm in the gauge here this morning so we only need another 70mm now to have this month's average rainfall covered, and hopefully we'll get none of today's expected afternoon/evening rain.

The temp here is already up to 18C with 23C expected.

Cheers.

Sorry people. The closer it gets to the water freezing point. The less I want to do outdoor activities.

I feel much the same at that time of the year Admiral. ;-)

Anyhow our uninterrupted sunshine has come to an end as the clouds gather again, but we're now up to 21C (feels like 22C) while the humidity is down to a much better 70%.

Cheers.

I like snow, just not to drive in or on.

But then I'm not the Iceman, though at times I could be very cold in what I was doing at one time.

What a fantastic beautiful starscape out over the hills.

And yet... Clear dark sky yet strangely the night feels almost warm... Way too warm for this time of year...

There's also a very unhealthy amount of water runoff across the roads in some parts. Including some seas of mud across the Queen's highway to quagmire the unwary.

The mud also makes for quiet a mess right up the windscreen and windows... Good hosedown needed! Later!!

And then there was the crazy Waggoner desperately late for his whiskey supper... ... ... Amazing driving for too many articulated tonnes...

We've made it all the way to 24C (feels like 25C) and without any rain so far.

Cheers.
