Of all the places in the UK, there is only Gateshead that has the last of an obsolete part, and the part is available... And...

Cyber Monday has stolen all the courier drivers...

(Thought I'd heard all possible excuses... That one is a good new one!)

Posting on a Tuesday morning as the rain falls and I wait for that glow to start in the east.

Cheers.

Given the current temperature here in the UK I think some of ML1's liquid Helium has escaped into the wild.....
That must have been a very large Dewar you were playing with ML1 ;-)

We do have one of the larger stashes of He, and keep a good few wind turbines busy keeping that lot cool. Then also, every last drop is counted out and every gram counted back in...

We have boiled off 'quite a bit' of liquid N2 on occasion...

... Wait a moment...

Has CERN done another quench and blown half the world's supply of liquid He again?!!!

Plenty of liquid here, but it's just water.

All this rain is going to drive a person to drink, so must be time for another coffee.

Cheers.

We've got water hanging in the air as a grey mist keeping the darkness damp...

ATM the rain here has been falling at the rate of 0.6mm p/h so far this morning, but that's expected to change all too soon.

Luckily I have a very good wet and muddy weather outfit for when I do have to go outside.

Cheers.

It's a soggy 16C (feels like 15C) here and I can't see us doing any better than that today.

Cheers.

And the murky grey mist remains. Almost like the world is lost inside some old black/white cinema movie...

... And, as if by magic, a parcel has just arrived with a certain piece of critical control equipment. Yay! Cyber Monday be damned!!

Where do you get hydrogen? Just condense LOX from atmospheric air.

Well no wonder that I could see the river's surface this morning as there was 40.5mm in the gauge here this morning. :-O

It looks like it being another day of doing very little as a constant heavy, but fine, drizzle continues to fall here.

Cheers.
