It's shame there aren't many debtors prisons left in the world, Jones wold be such a fine "upstanding" candidate for a place in one.

For those not in the know, the "residents" of a debtors prison were held there until they'd cleared their debts, but additionally they had to pay all the costs of their "lodgings". They were "encouraged" to do good works, to the benefit of the community, and the money this earned would be used to reduce their debt. Needless to such works were at the more unpleasant end of the spectrum.

I wonder how much that cost Rupert.

News Corp parent company settles decades-old phone-hacking claims.

News Corp's British newspaper group on Tuesday settled a series of claims of phone-hacking brought by celebrities and other individuals, including a "Spice Girl" and a former minister who said he was targeted because he was a political opponent....
Probably not enough so keep on suing him and his fake far right news empire until it's all gone. ;-)

Far right fake news pusher, Alexander, loses to the truth once again.

Appeals court rules against Alex Jones, upholding $75K fine after missed deposition.

If you want to push far right conspiracy theories and fake B.S. then you must be prepared to pay the price for doing so.

Fake B.S spreader (and another of Donny's crooked mob) scruffy Stephen could be in more trouble as more info surfaces.

Feds Say Bannon-Tied Groups Part of ‘Criminal Organization’.

A superseding indictment against Steve Bannon’s embattled sugar daddy alleges that multiple outfits the duo co-founded—as well as ill-starred social media app Gettr—were part of a criminal consortium that bilked Chinese dissidents living abroad.

The new details come out of an updated criminal complaint against Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, who caught charges last year for allegedly defrauding his followers with a bogus crypto scheme and using their money to buy a mansion, a yacht, multiple foreign-built luxury vehicles, ornamental rugs, and even a “$53,000 fireplace log cradle holder.”

The new document, filed on Wednesday, for the first time lists dozens of entities that the Department of Justice alleges formed part of the “Kwok Enterprise,” named for one of Guo’s alter egos, Ho Wan “Miles” Kwok.

This list features several investment vehicles and various arms of the sprawling multilingual media operation Guo and Bannon used to depict themselves and their allies as messianic crusaders against the Chinese Communist Party—as well as companies connected to the “farm” network that The Daily Beast reported in 2021 amassed money from supporters for dubious investments. But perhaps the most notable name of all those is Gettr—the “free speech” social media platform formerly helmed by Trump advisor Jason Miller and which The Daily Beast revealed shortly after its launch was funded by Guo, and the twin nonprofits the Rule of Law Foundation and Rule of Law Society......

Mikey, if you don't pay up you don't get the service that you didn't pay for (especially if you're a buddy of crooked Donny) and Rupert has always known when to cut his losses.

Lindell Says Fox News Has Dropped MyPillow.

It'll be a tossup between Mikey and Rudolf to who winds up broke first I reckon, but many other supporters of the "Great Lie" will soon follow suit.

The creator of fake news gets engaged again for the umpteenth time.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 92, engaged again, this time to Elena Zhukova.

Maybe he thinks that having his own molecular biologist may make him last longer.

Sprung!

Lawyer linked to 'parasitic' AI content network identified.

The ABC asked an Australian lawyer, employed by a large media organisation, if he was behind a 'parasitic' content farm.

Hours later it was all taken down – though this lawyer said he was not actually operating the websites.

The ABC's investigation started when Patrick Woods, a sports journalist at the Townsville Bulletin, noticed that strange versions of his stories were showing up on a site called League Initiative.....
But was he employed by them or was he the actual owner? Time well tell I guess.

For that young fake B.S. spreading moron Alexander the time is up.

Jones ordered to liquidate assets to help pay debt over false Sandy Hook shooting claims.

A US judge has ordered conspiracy theorist Alex Jones's personal assets be liquidated in order to pay $US1.5 billion ($2.2 billion) to the families of victims from the Sandy Hook shooting, which he falsely claimed was a hoax.

The Infowars creator's separate company bankruptcy case was dismissed on Friday, local time, but the future of the media platform remains uncertain.

Judge Christopher Lopez approved converting Jones's proposed personal bankruptcy reorganisation to a liquidation, but threw out the attempted reorganisation of his company, Austin, Texas-based Free Speech Systems.

Many of the Sandy Hook families had asked that the company also be liquidated.

If Free Speech Systems' bankruptcy reorganisation had been converted to a liquidation, Jones could have lost ownership of the company, its social media accounts, the Infowars studio in Austin and all copyrights as the company's possessions were sold........

How long will that un-Australian Rupert nutter's fake news empire last once he's gone?

Lachlan Murdoch controls his family's media empire, but for how long and at what cost?

Lachlan Murdoch turns 53 today, his first birthday since taking over the family's media empire from his father Rupert in November. And if he finds himself in a contemplative state of mind, how might he reflect upon the great balance sheet of life?

Despite running one of the most powerful media companies in the world, Lachlan Murdoch remains something of an enigma and seems to like it that way. He rarely gives interviews or makes significant public pronouncements and he guards his privacy fiercely.

So it must have been excruciating when deep divisions within the Murdoch family were laid bare six weeks ago in a New York Times story that made headlines around the world. The fact the news broke on the day Lachlan was to host a dinner celebrating 60 years since the launch of The Australian newspaper could only have added to his discomfort.

Under the terms of the family trust set up following Rupert and Anna Murdoch's 1999 divorce, their three children — Lachlan, older sister Elisabeth and younger brother James — as well as Rupert's daughter from his first marriage, Prudence, will have equal say in the fate of the business when Rupert dies. Murdoch watchers had speculated that Lachlan's siblings could unite to overthrow Lachlan and moderate the editorial line of the media assets, which many believe fuel division, particularly in the US.

We now know the possibility of this happening prompted Lachlan and Rupert to make an extraordinary intervention. This month, in a closed court in Nevada, USA, Rupert Murdoch will argue that the terms of the family trust be altered to guarantee Lachlan's control of the empire, uniting Prudence, Elisabeth and James in fierce opposition. The family has been torn asunder........
He's always been a divisive person and he'll go to his grave still being so even destroying his own family in the process.

While Rupert's family continue to battle it out over the future of the Fake News empire their shareholders look to also be staging a revolt.

This high-stakes meeting could pressure the Murdoch family to relinquish News Corp control.

The Murdoch family brawl playing out in a courtroom in Reno, Nevada, has rattled investors in both Fox and News Corporations, and now the sharks are circling.

It's a perilous moment for one of the world's most powerful media empires.

The family is bitterly divided over the governance of the secret Murdoch Family Trust (MFT) which gives them control of Fox and News, and is facing a revolt from News Corp shareholders mounting a direct challenge to the mechanism by which the Murdochs run the empire.

At the next annual meeting of News Corporation in a few weeks' time, investors will vote on a resolution to abolish the so-called dual-class share structure.

As it stands, there are two classes of News Corp shares: voting shares and non-voting shares.

Although the MFT only has a 14 per cent economic stake in News Corp, the family can control the company because it owns 41 per cent of the voting shares........
Rupert's empire maybe gone before his does.

The carrot was dangled, but young moronic Alexander doesn't want to take it as it'll be an end to his era of fake B.S..

Satire site The Onion buys Alex Jones' Infowars out of bankruptcy.

American satirical news organisation The Onion has bought prominent conspiracy website Infowars at a bankruptcy auction, pledging to use the domain to raise awareness of gun violence prevention.

Infowars was founded by Alex Jones, who confirmed The Onion's acquisition but pledged to file legal challenges to stop it.

Jones owes more than US$1 billion ($1.5 billion) after being found in court to have defamed the families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, which he falsely claimed was a hoax.......

Rupert's fake news empire on the road to being screwed.

Murdoch fails in bid to change family trust, New York Times reports.

A US court has ruled against Rupert Murdoch's bid to change his family trust to consolidate control of his media empire in the hands of his son Lachlan, the New York Times has reported.

A Nevada commissioner concluded that Rupert and Lachlan acted in "bad faith" in their effort to amend the irrevocable trust, the newspaper reported, citing a sealed court document.

The trust currently would divide control of the company equally among Rupert's four oldest children — Lachlan, James, Elisabeth and Prudence — after his death.

But Rupert is understood to want his companies to continue acting as a politically conservative media force after his death..........
But he does intend to appeal as his type always do.

Judicial roadblock stops sale proceeding.

Judge rejects sale of Infowars to The Onion, says auction process was flawed.

In short:

A US federal judge has stopped the sale of Alex Jones's Infowars to satirical news outlet The Onion.

US Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez rejected Jones's claims that the auction was plagued by "collusion," at the end of a two-day hearing in Houston.

What's next?

The judge has told the trustee to resolve some of the disputes between the creditors before making a new attempt to sell Infowars.
