The desi landlords helping to reshape British pub culture

What a great move to get away from the stifling monopolizing Pub-Co uniform kitchen-designer looks that have bulldozed away our individualist characterful independent pubs...


For my area, we had a vibrant mix of pubs until a local brewery got too big for its barrels and aggressively bought all the landlords out. Then within months, the brewery got bought out by a big name Pub-Co and... Bang, all the pubs were turned into something like a supermarket chain... And then some of the pubs were 'rationalized' (Accountants term for Bulldozed for housing).

Fortuitously, we've been saved by a handful of Micropubs sneaking in to break the stranglehold.

Also, a good excuse for enjoying a healthily longer walk!
