Also, as I've aged, many teeth have fallen out and My Smile shows this along with Crooked Gappy Yellow teeth of Wats Left. Mask hiding this is GOoD. REAL GOoD.

Mask however shows My Beautiful Blue Eyes - while hiding da Gross Bags under them. Luckily, tho Bald, hair I have left is a Gorgeous Gray/White/Blond Combo.

And My Breath is HORRID. Haven't brushed my teeth in over three Years. Whew!!!!! GAG a Maggot.

So, Mask GOoD. I will Miss Wearing It.

Rotting teeth will certainly give you bad breath and you don't have to give up wearing a mask for any reason.

I just took mine off after being across the road at the supermarket and I have nothing that needs (or warrants) hiding.

Meanwhile India (2nd) has charged into the 41M+ case clubhouse, Brazil (3rd) did the same for the 21M+ and France (4th) is enjoying last drinks in the 18M+ club, but the U.S. is getting very tardy with their reporting these days so it maybe a day or 2 yet before we find out how many new case clubs have been created.

ATM the world's total case tally is fast approaching 375 million as deaths approach 5,680,000. The daily average of new cases is about 3.5 million now while daily deaths are now averaging a bit over 10,000. :-(

Yep, we very much still have a pandemic...

There is a lot of good Science yet for how this evolves and unfolds yet.....

Aside from the aesthetics, there are numerous studies supporting a connection between general bad mouth maintenance (ie gingivitis, periodontitis) and increased heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular issues. Those bacteria can migrate, including to your heart valves.

UK numbers for 'new infections' or 'new cases' is to change today. It will now include people that have been re-infected, classed as those, testing positive 90 or more days after the previous infection.
Estimates vary wildly on how many cases this will be, between 10% and 64%.

This might look bad, but with all these added cases and the low number of hospital admissions and deaths, it is possible that the data for Covid-19 omicron will indicate it is not much more deadly than flu. And therefore it will be classed as an endemic not a pandemic.

While here down under cases and deaths are again raging through nursing and retirement homes with these people now out numbering the unvaxxed in ICU and on ventilators.

Though the number of people with COVID in hospital has dropped down to 4,947 (not all these were hospitalised because of the disease though) with those in ICU down to 371 and of those 120 are on ventilators.

With the full on bungling done by both our N.S.W. and federal right wing leaders (all in the chase of the buck, that has backfired very badly) our case total is now at 2,545,036 while deaths are at 3,758. :-(

But sadly the numbers will likely go up again soon with our last public holiday gatherings.

Oh well, at least my booster shot is getting closer.

The case list continues to see the U.S. with a strangle hold on 1st place with well over 77 million, India (2nd) has just entered the 42M+ clubhouse, Brazil (3rd) is spending their 2nd day in the 26M+ club, France (4th) burst through the front doors of the 20M+ clubhouse yesterday, the U.K. (5th) is cruising at the 17M+ club bar, Russia (6th) is racing through the 12M+ clubhouse as Turkey (7th) just enters it, Italy (8th) is approaching the midway spot of the 11M+ club and Germany pipped Spain to become the 9th country to join the 10M+ club to round out the top 10.

Australia did make it up to 27th place, but Japan and Portugal took exception to being passed, so we're back into 29th. Tonga has moved up into 223rd, Tonga Sees Small COVID Outbreak Tied to Ships Bringing Aid After Earthquake (as it was bound to happen, but thankfully the cases are not linked to the port that we're docked at). The other 2 new comers, Palau and Kiribati are now up to 209th & 210th places respectively.

Meanwhile here down under the number of those in hospital with COVID has dropped down to 4,268 with those in ICU dropping to 308, but sadly those on ventilation is up at 134. There's now only Queensland and the Northern Territory that havn't achieved 90% double dosed, but they're getting closer quickly, though it's getting to be about time that these government rollout .pdf's get an update. The 5-11 age bracket are now just starting to get their 2nd shot and over 43% have had their 1st dose, but supplies for this age group still seem to be a problem. Just over 41% of us have now had their booster shots (4 days to go for mine to be due), but this number is low very likely due to the number positive infections delaying those boosters and federal government bungling in getting those booster shots into care/retirement home system (or is it bungling and not just an opportunity to cut their pension and care budget costs? I wouldn't put anything past these current ring wingers).

[edit] BTW, Florida's death count is still going in leaps and bounds from 62,810 to 63,081 to 63,455 to 63,569 to 64,002 to 65,265 to the current 66,001.

Well our lame penny pinching federal government still can't even look after those in aged care, even after 2 stinging Royal Commissions against them over operational failures, under staffing and mismanagement, and now they want to send in 1700 ADF members to cover a 5,900 staff shortage because of COVID and they were short staffed even before that arrived here.

Morrison sends in the troops to assist with aged care.

And there's still plenty in those facilities that are still waiting for their boosters.

Tomorrow I'll stop in by the chemist to see if I have to book in or if I just turn up on the day for my booster (I have to go past it as I've got to go to the post office anyway).

It was Pfizer last month for booster shots at the village chemist here, but this month it's Moderna and I'm booked in for 9am tomorrow for a trifecta. ;-)
