Now that the world's total case tally has passed 214 million and total deaths surpass 4,465,500 it's time for another update.

At the top end of the total deaths list Bangladesh removed Belgium from 27th spot as the Philippines rolled over Ecuador into 22nd and now it's onto the total case list changes.

Brunei took a short flight over St. Barth, Antigua/Barbuda and the Caribbean Netherlands before landing in 195th place, New Zealand became the 188th member of the 3K+ club before passing both Saint Martin and Monaco to move back into 186th while the Isle of Man slipped past Sierra Leone into 174th, Mauritius passed Yemen to become the 170th member of the 8K+ club as Nicaragua passed Burundi, but they remain in 164th because Benin took flight over the Channel Islands, both of them, South Sudan, the C.A.R., Djibouti and Hong Kong landing in 159th, Timor-Leste leapfrogged Lesotho and Mali to claim 152nd and Curaçao replaced Andorra in 150th.

Togo jumped over the Seychelles and Mayotte to come down in 141st spot, Martinique leapt over Mauritania, French Guiana and Cabo Verde to land in 131st as French Polynesia moved past Sudan and Guadeloupe into 127th, Australia leapfrogged Fiji and Angola to claim back 121st while Uganda became the 106th member of the 100K+ club before leaping over Montenegro, Cyprus and Ghana to claim 103rd, Norway moved back past Uzbekistan, but remain in 94th because Botswana passed both to grab 93rd, South Korea took 81st from Armenia and Libya replaced Ethiopia in 74th.

Ireland slipped past Denmark into 68th place, Vietnam passed Denmark and the Dominican Republic to claim 66th while Azerbaijan passed Slovakia before both jumped over by Sri Lanka who claimed 60th, Costa Rica replaced Bulgaria in 56th as Cuba passed Lebanon to become the 46th country to enter the 600K+ clubhouse, Kazakhstan jumped over Serbia and Nepal into 40th and Morocco removed Hungary from 36th spot.

Israel became the 35th country to enter the 1M+ clubhouse as Thailand took 32th spot from Romania and the U.S. will have its grand opening of the 39M+ clubhouse during this reporting period.

Well that's it for this update.

What isn't explained there is that what 'it is' that is 'waning' are the front line antibodies that your immune system produces for an infection.

Meanwhile, what is just as important is that the longer lasting 'memory' part of your immune system will still be primed to produce new antibodies quickly for any new infection. You still get a 'head start' to head off or at least recover from infection far faster than without the vaccine.

A further part to the story not mentioned in that article is that good healthy caution is still needed to stay healthy!

And another one gets smitten...

Double vaccinated and he likely felt invulnerable and enjoyed a night in a crowded pub with the rest of the maskless crowds.

(That's now two of my friends knobbled whilst in the pub...)

He's now uncomfortably down and out for a few days. Bound to be the delta variant. At least the vaccine will keep him out of hospital.

And for a follow-up story: A local sales assistant who got knobbled by COVID last year, recovered, and has since been double vaccinated... She is only just now starting to regain her sense of smell and sense of taste. That's after almost a full year later!

It is within the police power of a State to enact a compulsory vaccination law, and it is for the legislature, and not for the courts, to determine in the first instance whether vaccination is or is not the best mode for the prevention of smallpox and the protection of the public health.

The highest court of Massachusetts not having held that the compulsory vaccination law of that State establishes the absolute rule that an adult must be vaccinated even if he is not a fit subject at the time or that vaccination would seriously injure his health or cause his death, this court holds that, as to an adult residing in the community, and a fit subject of vaccination, the statute is not invalid as in derogation of any of the rights of such person under the Fourteenth Amendment.

MR. JUSTICE HARLAN:
Is the statute, so construed, therefore, inconsistent with the liberty which the Constitution of the United States secures to every person against deprivation by the State?

The authority of the State to enact this statute is to be referred to what is commonly called the police power -- a power which the State did not surrender when becoming a member of the Union under the Constitution. Although this court has refrained from any attempt to define the limits of that power, yet it has distinctly recognized the authority of a State to enact quarantine laws and "health laws of every description;" indeed, all laws that relate to matters completely within its territory and which do not, by their necessary operation, affect the people of other States.

The defendant insists that his liberty is invaded when the State subjects him to fine or imprisonment for neglecting or refusing to submit to vaccination; that a compulsory vaccination law is unreasonable, arbitrary and oppressive, and, therefore, hostile to the inherent right of every freeman to care for his own body and health in such way as to him seems best, and that the execution of such a law against one who objects to vaccination, no matter for what reason, is nothing short of an assault upon his person. But the liberty secured by the Constitution of the United States to every person within its jurisdiction does not import an absolute right in each person to be, at all times and in all circumstances, wholly freed from restraint. There are manifold restraints to which every person is necessarily subject for the common good.

The key phrase in that fine example is:

"For the common good" [of everyone]...

We've very successfully used vaccines to overcome the painfully deadly horrors of smallpox and measles.

The next nasty disease running deadly rampant is COVID... That's a very fine next target for vaccination.

Somehow I've been LUCKY Enuf to SURVIVE Their RECKLESSNESS .

I Don't Know How Many Times I've LIVED THRU another PERSONs Recklessness. Many Times the CLOSE CALL is Not Known and. Other Times it's Been Frightfully Obvious.

There are Greater Odds of Me or Someone Else DYING from dA Circumstances I Allude to Above, than Me Dying from CV or me Causing Death to Someone by CV I May Have.

Not Going to get VAXXed 'cause Others BELIEVE in So Many 'FACTS' and 'NUMBERs' I DO NOT Believe are Truthful.

Now that the world's total case tally has exceeded 217.1 million and total deaths pass 4,514,300 it's time for another update of the lists.

The 3 changes on the total death list were Myanmar passing Sweden, but they remain in 40th place as Malaysia took flight over them as well as Paraguay and Japan to claim 37th and Indonesia ripped Italy out of 8th spot.

Now for the total case list changes.

For starters we have a new member added to the list with the Republic of Palau making its debut in 221st spot out of now 223 (including 2 ships), Grenada took 206th off of Greenland while Saint Kitts/Nevis passed the Faeroe Islands to become 201st member of the 1K+ club, the Faeroe Islands became the 202nd member, Dominica jumped over Tanzania and St. Barth into 198th as Brunei replaced St. Vincent Grenadines in 194th, Sao Tome/Principe nudged the British Virgin Islands out of 192nd and Saint Martin humped over Monaco and Liechtenstein to take over 186th place.

New Zealand also passed Liechtenstein to claim 185th place, Saint Lucia removed Yemen from 171st as Iceland displaced the Channel Islands from 166th, Burundi took flight over Nicaragua, the C.A.R., South Sudan and Djibouti to land in 161st while Laos also took a flight over Congo, Burkina Faso, Lesotho and Aruba to make a refueling stop in 154th, Timor-Leste was another who took to the air passing over Andorra, Curaçao, Taiwan and Belize before making a stopover in 148th and the Bahamas sailed on past P.N.G. into 144th.

The Seychelles nudged Mayotte out of 142nd, Togo replaced Haiti in 140th while Cabo Verde took 131st off of Martinique, Guadeloupe was another that took to the air soaring over French Polynesia, Eswatini, Madagascar and Trinidad and Tobago to grab 124th as Australia passed Réunion to become the 120th country to enter the 50K+ clubhouse, the Ivory Coast slipped past the D.R.C. into 118th and Montenegro took 105th spot from Cyprus.

Finland jumped over Zimbabwe and Namibia to land in 100th place, Albania displaced Latvia from 97th as Norway and Uzbekistan jumped over both Afghanistan and Botswana (though they may come back at that) to claim 92nd & 93rd respectively, Mongolia became the 87th member of the 200K+ club before taking 86th from Zambia while Kenya removed Qatar from 83rd, Libya was the 75th country to enter the 300K+ clubhouse before passing Oman, but they remain in 74th because Ethiopia followed them along before claiming 73rd, and Palestine took back 70th spot from Honduras.

Myanmar passed Uruguay and Sri Lanka along with Azerbaijan became the 60th & 61st members of the 400K+ club before passing Kuwait, but they all remain in their respective places as Vietnam took another flight overall of them as well as Croatia to land in 59th, Guatemala also took to the air passing Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Panama and Paraguay to gain 64th spot while Kazakhstan yanked Switzerland out of 39th, Israel took 34th off of Portugal, Thailand leapt over Sweden and Pakistan into 30th and Bangladesh removed Canada from 26th.

Malaysia leapfrogged Chile and Czechia into 23rd place while the Philippines dragged the Netherlands out of 20th as Iran leapt over Spain and Colombia to claim 9th spot and that finishes off this update.

Just the facts:

Rocket builder ULA will require employees receive Covid vaccines beginning Sept. 1
wrote:
... “This requirement is in alignment with our U.S. government customer and industry direction and will place us in a much better position to meet the nation’s needs and our [launch] manifest commitments while protecting the health of everyone at our facilities,”...

My personal suspicion is that the requirement is strongly motivated to avoid ill health causing "schedule disruptions"...

... And to reduce hospitalization costs?...

Delta is here. Last month - all of July - there were 10 "overflow" cases. Today, just today, there were 20. That is 66 times more cases. Most of the face sheets said Covid+
What is an "overflow"? The hospital morgue has overflowed and run out of room to store bodies and has to hire out cooler space.
