In discourse you must accept that you may lose... You refuse to accept that you may lose. That is exactly "unchanging unflinching dictators, despots, and aloof politicians?" You have become them. |

At one point in my life Greenpeace looked like it was legitimate, it now looks exactly like the NRA or said another way a terrorist group. It doesn't matter if they are correct or not, their actions are criminal and they should be rounded up, put in cages and have the door welded shut.+1 ! |

Denied: Cuadrilla: Fracking firm given new deadline to plug wells wrote: Energy firm Cuadrilla has been told it must plug its two shale gas wells on land on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire by the end of next year... Profitably wasteful and people and our planet be damned?... Just another problem caused by climate change. Panama Canal Drying Up And Hundreds Of Ships Are Stuck. In what is being called the “world’s worst traffic jam,” some 200 cargo ships are waiting to pass at the Panama Canal as, thanks to global climate change, the area experiences its worst drought in 100 years. As Futurism reports, the huge backlog has been growing for some time and might not get any better for a few weeks yet. The human-made passageway is famous not only as one of the world’s most impressive feats of engineering but as one of the most important trade routes on Earth. |

Just another problem caused by climate change.I think that today's environmental problems are too quickly attributed to climate change alone without looking closely at other causes too. There is climate change, sure. Its contribution should be examined scientifically and discussed publicly which is complex and difficult... The Panama Canal has been expanded since 2007 with three additional larger lock chambers which were opened in 2016. These locks have been designed as water-saving locks but still require vast amounts of water. I haven't been able to find any figures on how the additional locks affected the water demand from the Gatun Reservoir. Likewise, the number of locked ships has always increased: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_Canal Annual traffic has risen from about 1,000 ships in 1914, when the canal opened, to 14,702 vessels in 2008, for a total of 333.7 million Panama Canal/Universal Measurement System (PC/UMS) tons. |

Our gas sector is really rolling out the B.S. as their time gets shorter, but they make no mention of the now rapid uptake of green energy that is actually killing their future. Gas lobby pushing back as momentum builds to get new homes off the fossil fuel. The sooner these greedflation mongrels are out of business the cleaner and richer we'll all be. |

Denial meets Reality?... ‘Off-the-charts records’: has humanity finally broken the climate? wrote: Extreme weather is ‘smacking us in the face’ with worse to come, but a ‘tiny window’ of hope remains, say leading climate scientists... ‘Brought to you by big oil’: US billboards call out companies for record heatwaves wrote: Fossil Free Media, a non-profit media organization, installed the ads in cities rocked by heatwaves including Phoenix and Austin Whatever next? A strange costly subversion?... UK could quit ‘climate-wrecking’ treaty, minister announces wrote: ... The energy charter treaty (ECT) is a system of secret courts that enables companies to sue governments over policies that would cut their future profits. Companies have sued over phasing out coal-fired power stations, ending offshore oil drilling and banning fracking, with some receiving large taxpayer-funded payouts... A strange Denial?... Big polluters are greenwashing us and they don't want to change. Fossil fuel lobby opposes changes to greenwashing regulations. Australian lobby groups oppose greenwashing overhaul as study finds conservation claims lack evidence. The world's largest transnational companies are failing to provide evidence to back up their environmental restoration claims. There's no end to them trying to pull the wool over our eyes. |

You can hear their squeals from way over here. California sues five of the world's largest oil companies — ExxonMobil, Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips and Chevron. |

Just one example of an all too widespread disaster that is not reported: Major UK methane greenhouse gas leak spotted from space wrote: A major UK leak of the extremely potent greenhouse gas methane has been spotted from space for the first time. ... And most people have no idead that "Natural Gas" is actually methane from the oil and gas industry. And that industry is lobbying hard to push super expensive super leaky hydrogen through those leaky pipes! All a fantastic game of burning money for profit and our planet be damned... Madness? You can hear their squeals from way over here. I suspect this will be tossed PDQ. There is no law preventing the oil companies from not informing the truth about carbon, they were free to lie. If lying was permissible then they didn't do anything wrong. |

Why should an individual do their "bit" for the climate, when they constantly see crap like this giving them "the Bird"? Climate Change? What Climate Change? |
