I was so disappointed that today is Tuesday but National Taco Day was yesterday.
Today is National Do Something Nice Day.

Warming up, with a steaming hot brew, and more steaming from drying off after a thorough drenching. For the second time today!

My car passed the CA smog test, so now I wait for the green tag, last year it was red.

Well I got the dishes done (that finished off the brewroom clean up) before going out to clear a bit of sediment out of the laneway drain out back (the old sciatica didn't like that idea) and successfully made a group appointment for the jab by LLB so I must be winning. :-D

Now I can just sit back, relax and enjoy a beer or 3 while finishing a book off. ;-)

Cheers.

Well except for going to get the mail 2 or 3 times this month.

I'm not going anywhere until the 24th when I could go shopping for food again, I shopped for food today and so the freezer is packed.

I even snagged 2 loaves of sourdough bread @ 70 calories a slice.

A winner is immanent. I think you all know what the trigger is by now. So who will step on this bouncing Betty. Who will it be?

[@Vic,]

CONGRATS, on the new MAF getting your car to pass smog!!!!! :-) :-D

I'm glad to know that that is all that it was. With a car that old, (been there,
had them), could have been a WHOLE lot worse.

My car is 12, now. Being a Hybrid that DOESN'T get driven enough, my issues
are keeping the Battery Pack charged sufficiently. I'm now on my FOURTH
pack; ALL were taken care of under warranty, then extended warranty, all up
until this last one. Honda would NOT give me ANY consideration, even though
I've been through three others. Thanks to Green Bean Battery, (even though I
had to pay $1,949 out the door), I now have Lifetime Warranty on the new pack.

Honda wanted $3,400 for a 1 Year/12K MI Warranty. My mechanic wanted
$3,600 for a 3 Year/36K MI warranty, (part by Honda), so my choice was an
obvious one.... GO WITH Lifetime Warranty for $1,949 out the door. (Nationwide
Warranty.) IF anything happens, even if I move to another state, Green Bean Battery
comes to me.

Thanks TL, yeah the light is now staying dark as it should, my idle is better, more so cause I use a K&N air filter, the MAF is one in common with a Ford 4.0L v6 pickup truck.

A lifetime warranty, good deal.

I may yet get that 36mpg, on the last MAF & engine I got 33mpg.

One day I have to work on what amounts to the clutch, the car a/c, some leaks under the hood(power steering and oil), the cold soldered tachometer, and then the windshield come next for the car,

the house is next for a new bathroom window cause of bug problems that I'm having.

I'm also losing weight, my belt and pants are getting hard to keep up, I think I'm below 475lbs, I'll have to weigh myself asap again.

In any case I'm tired and a bit sore now since I also bought some gasoline for the car and I bought some food today, all the food is put away and my freezer is full.

I hardy use my car at all these days with a chemist now in the village.

In fact we had another win today as a suggestion into making a phone call to the local school was made and instead of a fully packed 3 car convoy for Tuesday's jab run we now have the use of a 24 seat mini bus instead. :-)

Now that does deserve another beer. ;-)

Cheers.
