I talked to a friend and the problem could be a MAF sensor needs cleaning or the air filter needs cleaning or there is a vacuum leak in a hose, since bank 1 reads running lean.

He's going to look for a cleaner, though it's not for tonight, so I'll pay the $135 and go from there, as of Oct 1st I won't be able to legally drive on public roads without a current tag.

Without a car I won't have a way to go and buy food like I did today. But Oct 1st is a ways off so who knows?

[@ Vic,]

Vic, I don't know if you are aware; but, I believe I read somewhere in DMV literature from the past that once
DMV Registration Fees have been paid in full that in a Smog Year, you have 90 Days from the Paid Fees' Date
to get the vehicle Smogged and transmitted to DMV.

Maybe Gary, or Carlos can confirm this.... Or, maybe you can look this up via DMV Website to confirm. I might
be mistaken.

Good Luck my friend. :-)

The last time I had this happen I replaced the O2 sensors, I might also go back to using iridium sparkplugs since this lean condition started then.

Platinum or iridium are not stock to the zx2, iridium is a hotter plug, where as platinum is supposed to deliver higher mpg by comparison.

That's something to be picked up from the Engine Management Unit diagnostics...

Snake-oil. Don't waste your money on those!!!

The combustion temperature and fuel efficiency is controlled by the EMU (and by the driver's foot).

Provided the spark plug meets the required spec, anything 'extra' is just silly Marketing lies.

Go cleanly!

And good luck!

The computer in my car just does the engine, I have seen better mileage with platinum plugs vs stock or the hotter iridium, I've had them all in my car, though not all at once. I have motorcraft which are stock for my car and not installed yet, my current plugs are old, filters first, then plugs, then O2 sensors.

In Salt Lake City. Smoke has been bad the entire drive. Reno was so bad it was hard to breathe. Here it's 97 which is moderately unhealthy.

My loan is in place and the physical therapist was here, I should be able to get a window insert for the back bathroom after I get a visiting nurse.

With all the burn offs that have been happening over the last 6 months across the state here they must of missed a few spots as we now have 6 small bushfires in progress (or 6 burnoffs got out of hand). :-O

Anyhow another 20m of edges have been done this morning, along with another full wheelbarrow load, but I did forget to add the outside of 2 mow strips to my last estimation of 60m being left to go though I'm now sure that I have just a 30m straight run left to do. I also didn't get off on the right leg to start with today as I went to jump on the spade to get through some tough stuff and got a cramp in my left calf muscle at the same time so I've been limping along ever since (my right foot is also starting to get a bit sore driving that spade into the ground). :-(

But I'm winning now as I relax with a few beers. ;-)

Posting after the areas power was restored.

It was 92F outside when the power failed at 9:17pm, power was restored at 10:59pm, all I could do was lay on my bed as that was the least warm place in the house.

The temp is now 87F. The whole area on the north side of the 15 fwy in Yermo CA was out of power.

Wait until the temp hits 33C and then try and sleep in that, humidity here was 22% last night, thunderstorms move the humidity to about 50%.

Let the melting commence. ;)

I'm enjoying my last coffee break for this morning before going out to see how my left calf goes getting into that last 30m of yard edges that need digging out.

Cheers.

Now that I've finished digging my backyard edges out the temp here has reached 19C (feels like 16C) so we should hit our expected 20C max very shortly.

Anyhow I'm now enjoying a few beers as I relax.

Cheers.
