It's much better outside now with the frost gone as we've gone from 0C (felt like -3C) to 13C (feels like 11C), 17C is expected, but it'll take another 40mins or so before the shed's solar heating gets downstairs up to a good temp for me to open the door of my unit so that I can start my cook up. 1 thing though is that the antarctic blast that is going through here ATM is now effecting the SE tip of P.N.G. and some south pacific islands today giving them some unusually cool weather. Cheers. |

Yes a "super blood moon" happens here tonight beginning just after 7pm tonight and so far there shouldn't be enough cloud cover around to totally obscurer the event while not being too chilly at that time either. The mercury outside here has now reached 16C, but the wind has arrived making it feel more like 13C, and the solar heating system kicked in with downstairs at a cozy 24C so once I finish this coffee break I'll start on my cook up. Cheers. |

Well the sun set here 1.5hrs ago at about the same time that the super full moon began its rise and in around 40mins the blood effect should begin here in the highlands down under. Cheers. |

Just before the grand finale was about to happen a cloud came along to block the whole view of the final conjunction here. :-( Oh well it's now time for me to hit the sack. Cheers. |

Here are two of many images I took last night. The full moon on the right at about 8 pm (5/25) and the peak of the eclipse at about 4 am (5/26) Pacific. Both images are natural color. Exposure of the eclipse moon was about f6.3 1/3 sec at iso1600. The full moon I had iso set to 200 with a 1/500 sec exposure same f6.3 Happy full moon. ![]() |

This morning's sunshine is just starting to melt the frost away as the temp outside reaches 3C (feels like 0C) after a -2C (felt like -5C) start here, a sunny 16C is expected today. Cheers. |

We have been ranging from the mid 50's to the mid 80's., But it's been windy. Looks like that has calmed down a little. Might be able to start working on my masts. Happy Thorsday. ![]() |
