Well we're now up to 9C (feels like 5C) here as the wind begins to build up speed and there was 7.75mm left by the overnight rain in the rain gauge (MTD:41.25mm/YTD:549mm). Now I think that it's time for another coffee break before checking those 2 brews of mine to see if they're ready yet. Cheers. |

Many years ago I lived on the beach. I prided myself on having tuff feet. I could walk on really hot sand with no problems. But one day it was really, really, really hot. I did get first and second-degree burns on my feet. Boy did I run to the water that day. But I did have to walk back. |

At near half past noon the temp here has reached a sunny, but blowing a chilly gale, 12C (feels like 6C). Well after checking my brews this morning I decided to top up the airlocks again to let them go for a few more days. Last week's extra cold weather has certainly slowed them up this time. Anyhow I'm going back to my ginger beer LLB. ;-) Cheers. |

Thorsday indeed. We are expecting 108f (42c) no wind, no clouds. Excessive heat warnings have been issued and PG&E is warning that brownouts can be expected. Should we change the name to Lokiday? |

Stumbled across some surprising details for food and good health... See: Message 2078041 onwards. I knew that advertising can be cruel and dishonest. I never realised to what extreme extent!! And then... The revelation that the tobacco industry has moved into making food addictive!... Live well and healthy folks! Yep... I'm crackers about mi cheese! :-P ... The study found certain foods are addictive because of the way they are processed. The more processed and fatty the food, the more it was associated with addictive eating behaviors... The question is, how do we best undo the cruel unhealthy advertising and food processing that is profitably killing people? Or is that one for over on the Politics thread?! Wed here is supposed to be cooler than even Mon or Sun, so the 23rd it is. Cheddar Cheese is good in Mild, Sharp is ok once one gets used to the taste. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
