The sun is now rising here, it's just happening behind a lot of thick cloud. Cheers. |

Seeing as the shed's solar heating system doesn't look like it'll be working today I just went downstairs to light the wood heater to get some heat happening here. Cheers. |

Hey! Great to be able to soak up the gentle warmth of our nearest star. I'm a few hours away from that... Enjoy! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Well the load of wood in the wood heater now has my 6 bay shed up to 28C (with some solar heating kicking in now and again ATM through breaks in the cloud cover) while it has reached 15C (feels like 12C) outside (16C is expected today). Anyhow it's almost time for my lunchtime beer break. Cheers. |

Get closer and the warmth will not be so gentle. |

There is so far only one that is solar powered here, my cat Grace. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Thankfully, the polar vortex is back up north where it more normally should be and we're enjoying some warm Mediterranean air. Almost too warm! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Be glad the gulf stream current is still active, it might get really cold without it. The Gulf Stream, together with its northern extension the North Atlantic Drift, is a warm and swift Atlantic ocean current that originates in the Gulf of Mexico and stretches to the tip of Florida, and follows the eastern coastlines of the United States and Newfoundland before crossing the Atlantic Ocean as the North Atlantic Current. The process of western intensification causes the Gulf Stream to be a northwards accelerating current off the east coast of North America. At about 40°0?N 30°0?W, it splits in two, with the northern stream, the North Atlantic Drift, crossing to Northern Europe and the southern stream, the Canary Current, recirculating off West Africa. Mmmm, yes, very much so. Except... We are already seeing a few interruptions due to the huge volume of fresh water runoff from Greenland from all the retreating ice there... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Yeah, that's troubling, problem is some are blinded or are in opposite day mode... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

While sunset is occurring here the temp outside is now down to 12C (feels like 10C) while inside here it's still 26C. But an extended LLB was enjoyed today starting at the top pub with several friends and finishing with a couple less in the shed here. Cheers. |

Sunshine and we're basking in 22 deg C already. Can really get pleasantly used to this gentle summertime stuff :-) See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |
