I thought that I was getting a bit warm downstairs while working away as the shed's solar heating system now had the shed at a tropical 31C. :-O Cheers. ID: 2073445 ·

The parts of the old bedhead that I reused to make the re-manufactured job wound up being a half inch (approx. 12.5mm) narrower than the than the outside of the corner sections (extremely short posts) of the base frame and being 40+ year old timber I'm going to have to be gentle with them digging out slot/s to mount them into.
