Thanks Zoom for the surprise catch!

New trigger latched and set...

1. Winner of the last thread starts the new one with a post of these rules.
2. Chooses a future event which triggers the winner, e.g. post number, date-time, and records it privately somehow (yellow sticky, etc.)
3. Everyone has fun posting until the target event is reached.
4. When the target is reached, old winner posts declaration of new winner and also PMs them.
5. Shortly after this a Mod will lock the recently won thread. (My preference is for the winner to ask the mods to lock the old thread after the new one is started.)
6. No double posts. Violator buys a round for the house in Rocky's.
7. Additional rule retained from the last round - No posts that APPEAR to be blank - these will be ignored or deleted. (Sig lines do not count as part of a post)

Enjoy!
Martin

Thanks all!

And noooo!! No apartments base jumping please!

Compared to yesterday, nothing like as dramatic as the previous day. Today we started with more snow. That soon cleared and melted for some blazing noon-day sun. To then progress through a beautiful orange sunset into a frosty evening for -2 deg C.

Anyone's guess which way this arctic air mass is going to squirm.

Summertime next on the next eddy of the jet stream!

Enjoy!

It was a slightly frosty 2C (felt like 0C) here this morning.

Cheers.

No tuna or lake here, but there are plenty of Murray Cod in our little river.

Cheers.

Do a few goldfish in a pond count?

Likely far too old and boney to try cooking...

Thanks again all.

Enjoying blazing warm sunshine and the physics of our enduring arctic high pressure and the selective optical properties of our atmosphere.

Beautiful physics in action!

In a bit I will enjoy the physics of what a microwave can do to a frozen dinner.

The only microwaving there is around here is from a few mobile phone masts, possibly a radar, and the long infrared as the land cools off.

You don’t have a microwave oven? Mine is 1100 watts. But there is several 3000 watt units. 3000 watts is 45 seconds 10 inch steak cooked well. 3000 watts is military grade.

Winning with nuked coffee. That and popcorn are about the only things I use my microwave for.
