3-23-2021 at 6:30 AM - PDT For the second time in just about a year, we had a 40+ pound Bobcat in our backyard! It walks around then heads to our North fence in the backyard, and jumps it into our neighbor's backyard. Can't tell if it is male or female, I'm just in awe of the size of it. When it gets to the back fence, it doesn't even jump up, it just reaches its front paws up to the top of the fence and does a pull up and then jumps down into the neighbor's yard! In other news, I'm having my FOURTH Battery Pack put in on my 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid!!!!! :-( [Fourth in almost 12 Years.] Got just about 8 Years of use out of this one. The GOOD news is that this fourth pack has Lifetime Warranty through a company called Green Bean Battery; AND, they're $1,494.00 CHEAPER than my own mechanic, (who gets his part from Honda), who only puts a 3 Year parts and labor Warranty on it. $2,149.00 from Green Bean Battery, tax and labor included. Now that DISH Network is properly connected via Ethernet to the Mesh Network, ALL the Wireless, (now Wired), STBs seem to be behaving and are staying connected to the Network. NO more full screen pixelations, either! I think we're OK now. TL TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Tuesday win. We don't have any bobcats on our island. But I saw a good 20-30 pound Turkey! Hope he makes it until November. Batteries are the bane of hybrids. My Volt is still holding 100 of it's charge. |

Bobcats exist around here, in LA they have Mountain Lions, 6' tall fences don't stop them at all, thankfully Grace is safe inside with Me. A friend is in the Hospital, at first they thought it was an inflamed gallbladder, it's not that, then they looked up the colon and so they have not said what they think, my friend is in some pain, I'm hoping it's not cancer. Now I'm just waiting for my two types of pain pills to kick in, then I can have breakfast. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Scott, they are wonderful animals. Had one recently in my backyard too, dark coat. First spotted him/her looking under some bushes and a hedge. Then he took a look under the car in the driveway. Didn't find any meal so he took a 10 foot cinder block wall like you or I would take a couple of steps. He hopped up, stayed on top for a couple of seconds and dropped down the other side. Neighbors a mile away have been seeing even bigger cats, puma. Yes, the occasional mule deer, a/k/a puma meal, wanders through. Just wish we didn't have those filthy scavengers, coyote as they chase bobcat away. There are also regular ursine visitors in the area. Welcome to Pasadena, California. |

I've not seen any bobcats in my yard. Just some stray kitty kats. Meow "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

The feral cats must not be as numerous as they used to be since I saw a ground squirrel leave the park alive. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Used to be more feral cats around here too. But I don't remember seeing one all last summer. Meow "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Brew break after hefting 60kg of metalwork. All toes still intact. Special note not to drag anything like that around again any time soon. Reassembling the other bits for the 60++kg comes tomorrow... No, the 2L bottles are stored on the bottom of the sturdy stainless steel wire shelf of my "desk" that I built, it's rated for 600lbs and it doesn't flex if I lean on it. Whereas the bags of Doritos are on the shelf above my head. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
