This last comment has nothing to do with the late Rush Limbaugh. If this thread is not to contain political comments, why the hell is it on the Politics board? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaxhzis0vvk |

I suggest you read the post you refer to carefully - stay within the bounds of honouring Rush's life and works, don't divert into other areas. There is a lot in his life that can be explored, but keep to HIS politics. If you don't agree with HIS politics you are welcome to state that you don't agree with what he said, but DON'T dive into an opposing field, just state your opposition. I suggest you read the post you refer to carefully - stay within the bounds of honouring Rush's life and works, don't divert into other areas. But we are always asking for people to justify there opinions and there we have to produce the evidence, in this case it is political. It cannot be split. So if you want a non-political thread in cannot be on the "Politics" board. I strongly suggest it is moved, or allow political statements or close it. Probably the third option would be the best idea. |

If I recall correctly, this is a R.I.P. thread which I'm pretty sure I saw in the Café. Some people in the limelight bring out either the best or worse in people. One has only to remember the "Peaches" Geldof thread. That got cleaned up & then locked, which as the thread's originator, was quite pleased with. To discuss the man's politics or whatever should have been done while alive. So IMHO, the only option left is to lock the thread. |

If I recall correctly, this is a R.I.P. thread which I'm pretty sure I saw in the Café.Or themselves as I'm rather sure it was the list of his life achievements that some had issue with. As a human he deserved all that comes with that. His body is now providing a feast to other living things, the final act all of us will do, unless it is cut short by cremation. |

He could have chosen composting |

Such a melange, posting tripe about a man upon his death. May the same be said upon yours. It's only fair, my prettys. Meow. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Iowa’s Cedar Rapids Gazette reported in 1990 that Limbaugh’s “AIDS Update,” a recurring segment in which he made jokes about a disease that had killed more than 100,000 people in the United States the previous decade, started by playing songs such as “Back in the Saddle Again,” “Kiss Him Goodbye,” “I Know I’ll Never Love This Way Again,” and “Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places.” I do give him some leeway that he pulled the segment and then publicly regretted it, but I could not find a formal apology, and really...to have ever considering broadcasting such a thing? And I am sure that he only pulled the segment due to the volume of negative feedback he received. So, he definitely could have been worse, but I still don't think he was a person deserving of respect simply by dying while famous. |

I ain't sayin' he was a saint. But he had a point of view that was his own. As do I. Saints and sinners all have theirs. Regardless, it bodes one ill to talk trash about another upon their death. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

And another fine radio voice, long gone, but remembered. That's a poor false equivalency |

You all wish............. "He knows there is another part of the country west of the Hudson"......... And, unlike most of you, he realized that there are more important parts of life to bring light to other than your own problems. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

As if I pay attention to claims of someone being "gone". That's right, I'm suggesting ... ummm, Rush (Limbaugh) ... is with Elvis on a distant planet in a parallel dimension, lurking in this thread. So, when Elviro-Rush reads this, R.I.P. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |
