Mother Nature will do her own thing. Swiss prepare to evacuate village threatened by vast landslide. More pics of the slide zone. Huge landslide looms over Brienz, triggers immediate evacuation of Swiss village. Stay safe. Cheers. |

Sound almost like my next door neighbor when I was growing up. The old coot next door wrote a complaint letter to the local health department saying "the smell of my mothers cooking was making him sick..." An inspector came out to our house and found nothing wrong with the "'cooking smells' and advised him to close his windows or move somewhere else if he didn't like it." Vegan’s letter asking neighbor to close his windows when he cooks meat hit with backlash |

It's so sad when things like this happen. :-( Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was reportedly found by officers in a mummified state during a welfare check. Queensland police are investigating after a mummified body was reportedly found inside a Gold Coast home. But was he just a lonely person or an evil 1 that it took so long to get a welfare check done? R.I.P. anyway. |

Questionable Wiggo. Reminds me of a senior woman found in her garage in a car. The only reason a welfare check was made was after the money in her bank account ran out. |

Very likely the same reason in this case and many others Admiral, but the story behind why it did take so long is rarely revealed. Surely the family and neighbours should've noticed something was wrong earlier than that. :-( |

This corner of the upper left coast has just set a new record for this date 90f, the earliest for this temp since records have been kept. It was briefly 96F here today, 86 at my desk and 83 in my bedroom, 99 is coming. I have a floor fan sending some cooled air from the a/c unit to my bedroom, I do need to get that 12K a/c unit to help the 15.1K a/c unit as the 15.1K is not quite enough. Savoir-Faire is everywhere! We only reached the 15C mark (felt like 13C, just) here today, but as the lite rain gets more persistent it's now down to 12C (feels like 11C). I got my last tasks for the day done by the time I made it to the pub for LLB, though I did have people looking for me by that time and eventually found me there as the 1st of the showers started rolling through here. Then I was going through tubs back under my bed looking for certain cables (note to self: write on tub lids what's in them; I get to that 1 day) while enjoying a few more beers. Anyhow it's time to provide Dog with shed service (her shed, not mine) and the think about feeding myself. Cheers. |

It is already 78f with the upper 80s forcast for this afternoon with the possibility of Thor making an appearance. I turned on the AC late yesterday afternoon and I expect it will stay on for the next few days. |

100F has been predicted, this area suffered thru 115 in years past, the air smelled burnt then. It's not Death Valley, but that's about 100 miles away... Savoir-Faire is everywhere! The T1 Trust, T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, America's First HST |
