Who ever you get to do the home inspection Carlos. Do your homework to make sure the inspector really knows what they are doing. The inspector missing things equals $$$$ paid out of your pocket to fix it.

Understood. The guy I have hired came highly recommended by the Governor of this state and the City Manager. He has already turn me away from 3 other properties. Plus, this is one of his projects. I happened to have visted this building before I knew he was the project manager for the restoration. I was impressed by the detail of the work. I have pictures of the recreated hinges, wood, and stonework. This restoration was done by a master builder. When I started to show him my pictures, he told me he did it. Looked at the picture of the plaque, and sure enough, it was him. If you can consider joining Rotary. In the US, just about anyone can join. In some countries, like here, it's an old boys' club. I knew the former president of Mexico, who is a Rotarian. He and I both received an international award at the same time. My trip here has been enhanced by the fact that the local club has accepted me into its inner circle. The Governor, the city manager, and others have been told to help me in any way I need. Last night I was invited to a private recital at one of the haciendas as a guest of the owner. I am being shown every courtesy possible. That's one of the reasons I am loving this town. |

I timed that perfectly. One of the purposes of my trip was to see Popocatépetl erupt. My business purpose having been accomplished, I took a bus over to see the volcano. While still about 40 miles away, the bus stopped at a lookout point and I captured this. This is it's largest burp in months. Looks like I ventured into the yellow advisory area. Happy Star Trek Day. Today is Star Trek Day, marking the 59th anniversary of the premiere of Star Trek: The Original Series on NBC on September 8, 1966. Paramount just announced that the Enerprise will be making the trek down Colorado Blvd at the Rose Parade this year. Time to plan a Pasadena trip. |

Happy Star Trek Day. Best viewing is in the bleachers set up on east side of Orange Grove. They sell out fast.

Has it been that long? Just got via snail mail from the Planetary Society a certificate for being a charter member. 45 years ago they were formed and needed in the face of the budget cuts to NASA. It seems like they are even more needed today for the same reason. For those who may not remember they provided the funding for the SETI searches that eventually became SETI@home. https://www.planetary.org/ |

It disturbs me. I can't say because of the message content or because of Eric posted it... |
