New Zealand Airport introduces ‘inhumane’ time limit on hugs for travelers saying goodbye to loved ones
This is one change passengers aren’t embracing.

A New Zealand airport has sparked global outrage after implementing a three-minute limit on hugs in its drop-off zone, advising travelers with a sour new sign: “For fonder farewells please use the car park.”

Photos of the sign showcasing the Dunedin Airport’s newest rule to combat congestion in the terminal took off online, with some Facebook users slamming the “inhumane” limit on travelers’ allotted time to say goodbye to loved ones.

“You can’t put a time limit on hugs! that’s inhumane,” one person wrote.

Even 3 minutes is way too long.
It's a drop off area, to drop people off. Time enough to say goodbye & a quick kiss & a hug and all done in well under 2min even if there are 5 people in the car.

Ma and Pa were two old hillbillies living on a farm up in the hills.

One day, Pa discovered that the hole under the outhouse was full.

Unsure of what to do, he went inside and told Ma about his dilemma.

“Why don’t you go ask the young’n down the road?” Ma suggested. “He must be smart; he’s a college gradjyate.”

So, Pa drove down to the neighbor’s house and asked, “Mr. College Gradjyate, my outhouse hole is full, and I don’t know how to empty it.”

The young man replied, “Get yourself two sticks of dynamite—one with a short fuse and one with a long fuse. Place them both under the outhouse and light them at the same time. The first one will shoot the outhouse into the air, and while it’s up, the second one will explode and spread the poop all over your farm, fertilizing the ground. The outhouse should come back down right on top of the now-empty hole.”

Thanking the neighbor, Pa drove to the hardware store and picked up two sticks of dynamite: one with a short fuse and one with a long fuse. He went home, set them up under the outhouse, lit them, and ran behind a tree for safety.

Suddenly, Ma came rushing out of the house and dashed into the outhouse just as the first stick of dynamite went off, launching it into the air. BOOM! The second stick detonated, spreading poop all over the farm. Then, WHAM! The outhouse came crashing back down right atop the hole.

Pa sprinted to the outhouse, flung open the door, and called out, “Ma, are you all right?”

As she pulled up her panties, she replied, “Yeah, but I’m sure glad I didn’t fart in the kitchen!”

Hahaha......

But I do know where that should've gone. ;-)

The joke thread Part 4.

It just needs a few cobwebs blown out of it.

Cheers.

Is there a meaningful reason why to change back to normal time one week later than in Europe?
Here, as long as I remember it was the last weekend in September until 1996 when the change was harmonized within the EU. Since then it is last weekend in October.

It got moved to the first weekend of November. Don’t ask why. It was a trump thing. Most of the United States observes daylight saving time (DST). Exceptions include Arizona (except for the Navajo, who do observe daylight saving time in the Navajo Nation), Hawaii, and the territories of American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands.

Who needs a TV as big or bigger than the wall it would probably mount to???

What about picture quality?

A TV as big as a bed? With the holidays approaching, stores stock more supersize sets
For some television viewers, size apparently does matter

The 38.1 million televisions sold with a width of at least 97 inches between January and September represented a tenfold increase from the same period last year, Circana said. Best Buy, the nation’s largest consumer electronics chain, doubled the assortment of hefty TVs — the 19 models range in price from $2,000 to $25,000 — and introduced displays in roughly 70% of its stores.

“It’s really taken off this year," Blake Hampton, Best Buy's senior vice president of merchandising, said.

Don’t need a tv that big. A video projection type is more than enough. One person can move it around. Not a army of people praying not to damage a 90+ inch screen.

More than 65" would be too big here.

I agree Victor. I am in front of a 50” inch tv and it is more than enough. I have my video projector if I want 130” inches. It weighs a few pounds and any five year old toddler could walk off with it.
And the biggest plus is it doesn’t cost a arm and a leg to purchase.
