Man Eating McDonald's for 100 Days Is Down Nearly 30 Lbs. So Far — and Now His Wife Is Joining Him
"I'm going to eat nothing but McDonald's for the next 100 days, but instead of eating everything they give me, I'm going to go ahead and cut the meals in half just to prove to myself and maybe some of the other people watching that it's not as much what you're eating, it's the quantity that we're eating that really jacks us up," he said.

... "I've had cardiologists that love it, and I have cardiologists that hate it," he said.

Kevin, who said he used to wrestle, predicts by the end of the 100 days "my blood work will be better," he said. "And if you don't believe me, follow along. Let's find out."

I don't know what he was thinking, but he'll have some time to think about it. LOL

When will people learn that if it's gone viral on TikTok it's probably stupid to try...
School and police officials are warning against the TikTok 'hot gum' or 'Trouble Bubble' challenge after 10 kids were reportedly hospitalized with burn injuries
The gum's website says its product has 16 million Scoville heat units, a common measurement for spiciness, which makes it eight times as spicy as the Carolina Reaper pepper, which tops out at 2.2 million Scoville units.

When will people learn that what burns going in burns going out. If they thought their tongue was burnt to a crisp…just wait for later. And I hope they washed their hands before using the bathroom.

Not a train accident this time, but it is another case of dangerous polution due to a fire.

Hundreds forced from Indiana homes as plastics fire burns
RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) — An evacuation order affecting more than 1,000 people was expected to remain in place through Wednesday around a large industrial fire in an Indiana city near the Ohio border where crews worked through the night to douse piles of burning plastics, authorities said.

Multiple fires that began burning Tuesday afternoon were still burning Wednesday afternoon within about 14 acres of various types of plastics stored both inside and outside buildings at the former factory site in Richmond, 70 miles (113 kilometers) east of Indianapolis, Richmond fire Chief Tim Brown said.

He said the fire is contained within the old factory site but not under control and the firefighting effort is ongoing. Brown said the fire response team has a very tentative goal of finishing up dousing the flames by Saturday morning, but added Wednesday afternoon “that’s a guess.”

The outage @ Dish Network continues, here there are 14 channels the county pays for thru property taxes, 1 or 2 channels have been restored, there are 7 that are up, only 1 is not normally here, more will come back in time. KLCS was audio only except in the morning when KLCS was audio and video since sometime in March or early April.

All thanks to a ransomware attack... Which Dish I think refused to pay.

You don't know what you've got till it's gone...
Inmarsat I-4F1 satellite outage disables tractor GPS services for farming operations and some maritime safety

NSW farmer Justin Everett, who grows wheat, canola and barley, said he had been affected by the outage, and it had taken his operation back about 25 years.
"I haven't been in a tractor without auto-steer for 15 years. It's going back to the 1990s, really."

Scott Neville, who crops 1,700 hectares in NSW, said a lot of boom sprays were out of operation.

I wonder what it'd be like owning property larger than many European countries (in fact big enough to take in several small ones), but without all the people, 9,430,743 hectares or 94,307.43 square km worth.

Viv Oldfield adds Middle Creek Station to vast property portfolio.

Nah, I have enough problems looking after 1,080 sq metres as it is with about half of that taken up by buildings.

Cheers.

Old military ordnance found by students on Azle Jr High property
The students came across a rusty piece of metal near the stadium parking lot that could possibly be an old artillery shell so the students were sent back inside and the campus was placed on a “Secure” status while the police and fire department were called to investigate.

Fort Worth FD determined the device to be an old military ordnance. It was a live round. Investigators safely disposed of the device at the FWFD bomb range.

Fire officials noted that it is fairly common for the area.

It probably soft landed amid other explosions, at least it was not a DUD...
Duds are still dangerous, and can explode if handled. They have to be deactivated and disposed of carefully. In war-torn areas, many curious children have been injured or killed from tampering with such devices.

And cluster bombs more so, every once in a while at a construction site in Europe they find a BOMB, a live WW2 bomb, either British or American, or less so a French one, mines do cause death and injury, Princess Diana supported mine clearing efforts, as does one of her sons.

I still can't understand why people would want to jump out of perfectly good planes. :-O

An Australian skydiver has been remembered as a “bloody awesome human” after he died following a hard landing during a jump in North Queensland.

In Russia people jump out of perfectly good 2nd or 3rd floors...

It takes all types of people to make the jump. Daredevils, thrill seekers, adrenaline junkies and underwear strainers. I was watching a emergency room tv program and tandem skydiving couple was brought in. The jump went perfectly until they reached the ground. They landed and were empaled on a t-post. They both lived through it. Don’t know if they jumped again.
