OK... So I'm completely lost as to where to post this gem...

Never before has an interviewer been so obviously lost and so out of his depth as to be so utterly oblivious in a total lack of appreciation and understanding?...

Dumbfounded?!

Fantastic stuff! See (hear, think, understand, believe):

Martin Rees - Which Laws of Nature are Fundamental?

Martin Rees is just so fantastically unassuming in the awesome understatement of what he so casually describes in everyday terms.

Enjoy thinking very deeply.

Amazon Driver Goes Above and Beyond to Hide Packages After Getting Special Note

You’ve probably seen one of them before: The doormat that says “Please hide packages from husband.”...
The video showed Amazon delivery driver Leeza Hall setting the package down on the porch, pausing to take the photo confirming delivery and then reading the mat.

At least the customer understood what happened.
We had a complaint form a customer that claimed they didn't get their parcel, even though it was scanned as delivered (this was before the scanners would take a photo of the item). The driver wasn't in that day, so the next day when he was back he was asked about the parcel- his response "I put it in the boat like they told me to do for anything large."
Customer had a boat in the driveway with a cover over it, and when told about the driver's response they said "Oh, yeah. Forgot about that." No apology for abusing the customer service person when they called to complain about the undelivered parcel, that was delivered exactly as they had asked it to be.

From then on any item that didn't fit in the letter box, and the customer wasn't there to take the delivery themselves, was carded- regardless of any written instructions authorising it to be left- so they could go and pick it themselves. If people behave like a rude abusive tool, then they should expect to be treated like one.
Behave like an adult, then they'll be treated like one.

Urban Legend Prompts Mass Search for $20 Billion Treasure
In 1987, 12 men and 12 women began the search of a lifetime, going after the “Lemminkäinen Hoard”: a storied mass of gems and artifacts said to have been sealed in a temple cave in Finland circa 987 A.D.

The ginger one is out of place - it should be climbing over the backs of the other two to get to its bowl ;-)

Beware of planes that you jump out of.

1 news reader here had us in stitches when she said, "Thankfully the pilot got the engines restarted and landed safely". :-D

She was awfully embarrassed when an "aircraft stall" was explained to her. :-)

Cheers.

I made a pot of Navy beans. I sent it out to my dads house. Flavored with sliced salt pork, garlic powder and a little chicken broth. They baked some cornbread to go with it. I got a call later asking. “Please sir. Can I have more?” Lol.
