Joe is about the corrupt every law ever made by allowing the liberal students loan amnesty.
And that should offend all of us.

10 to 1 there are more conservative children who got loans, the liberal children got grants.

"My bill proposes, 1. Elementary schools in every county, which shall place every householder within three miles of a school. 2. District colleges, which shall place every father within a day's ride of a college where he may dispose of his son. 3. An university in a healthy and central situation... To all of which is added a selection from the elementary schools of subjects of the most promising genius, whose parents are too poor to give them further education, to be carried at the public expense through the colleges and university."

I am sorry you and all other students with debt that late in life didn't have it forgiven. Agreed it is unfair but I guess better late than never. Better than spending it on more nuclear weapons that would just get downsized out as around 90% of them have been.

I don't think a student loan should have been taken out of a social security check. I understand that was a hardship. Why not fix the situation so that others don't have the same problem, given that education is a very strong way to face the future. There are some things that are just too big for many private individuals. Take the military for example. if every state, or even town had it's own military, then there would be chaos in war time. We need a national response. Healthcare and education are other examples of things that are too big for so many Americans. Smart, hard working people can't always afford to get a good education, or even with insurance can face huge deductibles for the mildest of ailments. There are countries that get healthcare, education, and a military response right without having to bankrupt their citizens. I would rather fix things going forward rather than continue to make the same mistakes of the past.

So they're admitting that their small minds (which totally lack intelligence) are all out of ideas for fake news entertainment now so they're looking to their smaller minded groupies for them hey?

Biden appoints new director to lead the Secret Service.

Yep, cleaning out any corruption left behind (and there was plenty of it). :-)

OSTP Issues Guidance to Make Federally Funded Research Freely Available Without Delay

Today, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) updated U.S. policy guidance to make the results of taxpayer-supported research immediately available to the American public at no cost. In a memorandum to federal departments and agencies, Dr. Alondra Nelson, the head of OSTP, delivered guidance for agencies to update their public access policies as soon as possible to make publications and research funded by taxpayers publicly accessible, without an embargo or cost. All agencies will fully implement updated policies, including ending the optional 12-month embargo, no later than December 31, 2025.

This is something that the scientific community has been asking for quite a while. Up until now, publicly funded research results could be locked up behind paywalls (looking at you, Elsevier) and the taxpayers who funded the research results forced to pay again to view them.

This has taken a very long time, and one high profile killing:

... The Supreme Court on Thursday narrowed the scope of a federal cybercrime law...

DEAD. Murder? usa internet LAW REFORM REQUIRED!

... And whatever happened to the bullying victimizing DA that stretched the intent of the law to a deadly extreme?...

Stay safe and free?

Only in the USA...

Why should the USA taxpayer freely give research to China?

Even if it's paywalled, you will sell one copy of every paper to the entire country. It will be copied and distributed internally. As an example, only ~1% of Chinese companies that use Windows pay for it.

You can use IP geolocating to try to make it available to U.S. access, but there's no way from keeping it from the world if it isn't classified. The only consideration is not to enrich private companies profiting off off publicly owned research.

Republican Members of Congress
Whose PPP Loans Were Forgiven
Below the headline is a list that reads:
Matt Gaetz (R-FL): $476,000
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA): $180,000
Greg Pence (R-IN): $79,441
Vern Buchanan (R-FL): $2.8M
Kevin Hern (R-OK): $1,070,000
Roger Williams (R-TX): $1,430,000
Brett Guthrie (R-KY): $4.3M
Ralph Norman (R-SC): $306,520
Ralph Abraham (R-LA): $38,000
Mike Kelly (R-PA): $974,100
Vicki Hartzler (R-MO): $451,200
Markwayne Mullin (R-OK): $988,700
Carol Miller (R-WV): $3.1M

And another quote from the Joe Biden White House.
Bharat Ramamurti, a deputy director of Mr. Biden’s National Economic Council, told reporters at a White House briefing that “we absolutely think it’s a fair comparison” between P.P.P. and student debt.

“Our view is, why is there a double standard here?” Mr. Ramamurti said. “Why is it, from the perspective of Republicans, great to forgive a loan of up to $10 million to a business owner, but if we want to provide $10,000 or $20,000 in loan forgiveness for a teacher or a bus driver or a nurse, all the sudden it’s socialism?”

So, you are showing 15-16 million is loans to republicans.
How in the world does that compare to the minimum of 25 to 100 billion or more that Biden is giving away?
