To make it simple. The announced pledge of Biden and the eco-crazies was to put fossil fuels out of business.
This was followed by executive actions to restrict production (Fracking) and transport of fuels. Permits and leases were also slow-walked right away. Drilling was declared off-limits on much of Federal land. The world had an excess of oil production which had kept prices of all energy affordable. Now the US had to immediately import oil which meant that less world production raised the price (supply and demand) Also, about at this time the speculators got wind of this ominous trend and bid up the price of oil by a factor of 3 or more. Putin got rich since he was supplying us and most of Europe with oil and gas. He now had the financial means to carry out the Ukranian war --this further pushed up oil prices when the US stopped buying Russian oil.


Now maybe you don't believe it but cheap affordable, abundant energy is at the heart of a thriving economy. Many products need petroleum as a feed stock. Fertilizer and fuel costs go up for the farmer. The farmer has to raise prices for Corn and other comestibles. It also costs more to transport goods to market. feed lots pay more charge more for livestock, meat cutters and retailers pay more and have to raise their prices . In between all of these steps is transportation which requires fuel that is now almost twice as expensive as before.

And you see there Wiggo--it is a spiral of stupidity and an inter- dependency (domino) effect.

That is why energy has gone up at least 50 % and in spite of the published numbers food has risen almost as much.
try $6.00 bacon and $3.49 for a gallon of milk and so on.
American households can expect a Biden Inflation tax of $500 per month. Don't believe it ? I see it in my own household and I am a cheap bastard--but I have to drive to work and feed our family of three.

So don't give me the knee-jerk "you are watching fox news'"or that I believe in conspiracy theories.

Although I could almost believe there is a concerted effort to destroy our way of life--probably not --for now I will lay it off to rank stupidity and lack of economic understanding--at least for now.
